IDK MEB, I think there is some truth that families pay to launch their kids. at least some part. If not why the hell would Adi launch that Jain guy, Ranbir's cousin after his brother failed ? Even we can see he cannot go far.

RS is a semi insider, hes related to top actor Anil Kapoor so the name recognition was already there.

If you go and say Im Anil Kapoor's nephew, people will obviously pay more attention to you instead of some rank outsider who has no family contacts in the industry

And of course Parineeti and Abhay Deol also got the advantage of the surname, being connected to already famous stars, name recognition helps in getting auditions and roles.

As for Imran, well obviously his Mamu helped him debut and later also get roles in other movies

Shanoo, casting director who cast him in BBB is saying she already knew him from BW party circuit so she thought abt him first when she picked him for auditions. An easy entry into YRF movie

If RS wasnt an insider, he would not be seen at those BW parties, Shanoo wouldnt have met or known him so she would not have thought abt him first for that role

Real outsiders are those who dont have those advantages at all, they have to struggle, give multiple auditions and if they get picked then only they get a chance to prove their talent.

He is rich enough that rumors floated that his father bought him his debut. 😆 He's known and had connections with celebrities, directors and other BW insiders since he was a kid. Of course to true star kids like Ranbir Kapoor or Sonam Kapoor, he would be a nobody and not fit to be part of their circle because they are notoriously elitist. But lots of doors were open for Ranveer that real outsiders don't ever have.
