what fact ? putting vague numbers and then arguing on it, doesnt make it real. First of all, Indian theater doesnt have central hub, which can track down number of ticket sold or number of people who have watched movies. this number are just based on assumption. plus the ticket prices are never same. there is a quote i don't remember exactly, "dil behlaney ke liye galib khayal acha hai" something like that.

Shows how huge Devdas was at the BO. Until then, it was the most expensive Bollywood movie.

I thought OSO and CDI had 2+ crore footfalls. Looking at BOI, even Krrish didn't cross the 2 crore threshold. Surprising.

And, how was Dhoom 3 an ATBB without crossing the 3 crore mark?

I'd also like to add that since 1993 (BOI's data), Devdas and PRDP are the two movies to be declared strictly as hits despite notching 2+ crore in footfalls.

What is the credibility of this data? Does BOI even have the capability of extracting such data like tickets sold from all theatres in India, considering it's probably run by some nerd computer engineer from his home in Jersey?

I only ask because It's extremely unlikely, more like impossible that OSO and RNBDJ didn't cross the 2 Cr mark considering they both broke gross records.
