There is nothing wrong with not doing well in school. Not everyone is book smart. Schools and exams do not cater to all learning styles either. Thousands of students are left behind by the education system because they are poor test takers or do not receive an education suited to their learning style. Teenagers also lack discipline and judgment. A fifteen-year-old, typically will not be able to set priorities and do well.

Maybe he did not do well, but his passion has always been acting and he does really well in that arena. Plus, he went to Bombay Scottish an ICSE school - a 55 there is as good as 65 in SSC.

The education system can be a joke. I got a 76% in SSC. Most of it was my laziness. However, a 36/100 in English just passing by 1 mark was the deal-breaker for me. Call it sour grapes, but I am convinced that they sent my English paper to some place like Latur for grading and it must have seemed like I was some idiot making up bullshit words like exasperating farrago. I went into Arts for my HSC. Without the stringent discipline of my Catholic high school, I bunked a lot of classes, lost my way and scored a whopping 55% in the HSC board. I went on to do well in SAT, GMAT and eventually got an MBA from a highly rated public university. Board exam scores barely define you.

While the outsiders are mostly degree holders, they completed their education and then came to Mumbai to try their luck so that if it doesnt work they can fall back on their degree and get a regular job

The insiders didnt have to worry abt getting a regular job or degree because they know if they fail in movies they will still have family support and can get into some production jobs.

So its not surprising at all that Ranbir was a poor student, I bet Aamir, Sallu, Bebo all their 10th and 12th grade marksheets will be similar 😆

Kapoor studied at the Cathedral and John Connon School and later, for a few months, at Sophia College.

Karishma's wiki states she studied at Sophia College for some time, don't think she can join after just studying till 6th standard..

i know right...i haven't read the last some pages after writing my post...but I am sure ki Biru ka dhamadham mazaak udd raha hoga...sab ek thaali ke chatte batte hain...and its OK if u know that u are going to be an actor u work hard towards that...my only problem is that don't tell the world that I became this big shot and I didn't do college..or study at all...doesn't sit well with youngsters who are not so lucky to be born in a rich and famous family and College education can take them somewhere.

Especially saying this to schoolkids is such a bad idea...impressionable young minds who will think ke dekho Ranbir only scored 56% in his 10th grade exams and hes doing so well in his profession then why shd we bother ...setting a bad example and misleading too.

He had Kapoor khandaan ka name and his dad's wealth to fall back on, these little kids will have to make their own fortune, except the kids with rich business dads of course.

And yes, last few pages mein Ranbir ki khilli udayi jaa rahi hai for his poor grades, someone shd post the grades of their favorite insider stars too, tab doosrey bhi mazaa lengey 😆

Most of these industry kids' parents dont even bother abt education, they are more interested in grooming the beta or beti for their launch, acting sikhao, horse riding, swimming, dancing sikhao and they are ready to be launched. Education jaye bhaad mein ...

As I already said, one would prefer to watch Ranbir or Alia (who are not so educated) over Sushant or Kriti (who are qualified) as they are better actors.

One can't even say, it (education level) shows up when they speak. Amir, Sharukh, both can speak well, though one is qualified, other one is not. Similarly, Kareena, Sushant or Anushka all cannot comprehend, though their educational levels are different. Qualification is just another skill in a particular subject.

Sushant and Kriti interviews have been so uninteresting.Especially SSR who is inaudible at times,make irritating gestures and cant process or enunciate thoughts.Whenever someone points that out,his fans bring in his AIEEE rank to justify his inability to hold a convo..so stupid

Ranbir on the other hand is a beauty to watch.Deep knowledge and passion abt films,its making,nice voice modulation and stressing on points,Good enough vocabulary
