Lets not equate what happened in this forum with what happened in real world.
BM yes was helped by the fact it clashed with SRK, denying it will be funny, as it got much attention due to it clashing with Dilwale. But to say it became hit only due to clashing and people wanting to see SRK flop is absolutely ridiculous. Had that been the case Saawariya would have also won the clash against OSO. But it did not, because Saawariya was boring beyond words
BM indeed had great WOM because of the extravagant cinematic experience it was. BM in theaters and BM in TV/online are two very different things. The experience of watching BM in theaters was something else. Everybody raved about it when it released, because it was a fine movie experience. Was it better than BB? Personally I feel no. I was more connected with BB and there is a reason why so many people went to watch it. But just like there are people who think FAN was the best movie last year or ADHM or Sultan, same way some people can find BM better than BB. Yes if they start thrusting it on us, than we can protest.
People will not waste their money on BM just to see SRK fall, sorry but SRK is not that hated by us Indians. Aab ishme haamari galti nahi ki woh expensive yet average to poor quality pictures bana raha hai. Despite making tonnes, they still are not hit. Because SRK ki selling his movies in really huge prices, plus they are not great enough or carry great WOM to earn big. People still like/love SRK( heck me who is considered a SRK hater in this forum have gone to watch all of his films in hall), hence his movies are still giving good opening, uski films are not upto mark and you guys are blaming us Indians to conspiring against him? Maltab come on yaar.
