I think mainly because Bhansali demands too much time and dedication from Ranveer...until he is involved in SLB projects he won't be able to work in several movies at a time.

It dint affect him much honestly, it did 40 cr despite the negativity and had a good opening ,it was advertised as an Adi chopra film the director who gave DDLJ , it failed in that aspect he got it wrong this time. He isn't jobless. Just doesn't do as many movies, which if you ask me is a good thing. I'd rather him do fewer movies along the lines of Lootera and BM than crap like kill dill and befikre.

He was never a superstar material.

From the young lot only remote chance of anyone becoming a superstar is Ranbir. However I believe era of superstars are over. Its move to movie now days.

Problem with Ranveer is that he looks terrible..then he is clownish. There is no charisma of SRK in him and this was seen with Befikre. I am sorry to say but he just does not have in him.

At worst: Vivek Oberoi

At best: Govinda i.e. doing comic roles

P.S: He need to stop working with Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra. These two panautis will sink him faster than otherwise.

If Ranveer career is considered as swimming pool and ranveer does not know how to swim. Farhan/PC are heavy stones tied to his legs. The career is sure to drown. However if he get rids of these 2 panautis then someone like aditya chopra can throw a rubber boat to float him for sometime.

Bhansali ne jo shakal aur body banwa dee hai Veeru ki...toh uske saath koi aur movie kar bhi kaise sakta hai...PV ki shoot finish hogi...apna hulia aur body normal karega...then he will start on his next movie.

Forgotten? Nah. Rather, I think we are finally moving towards content driven approach where audiences have started to make choices based on the story than the star value which is precisely why a movie like Hindi Medium fared so well.

Befikre was a year after BM yet it flopped. BM was after Kill Dil and it was such a hit. I like how Ranveer gives time to his roles. Quality is far more imp than Quantity. There is no denial that there is risk associated with it especially of losing standing in the industry but then all kinds of work have some level of risk.
