The bit about smoking is probably true. One of my uncles was reed thin but gained a protruding tummy within months of quitting.

Uncle was fat then he started smoking in order to reduce weight but he gained twice of what he was earlier. Still he smoke in his house's toilet while pooping. People refer to Incridible uncle as salman khan.
