Saif has a problem with accepting failures😆 Which is ironic since he has so many of them

I still regard Julia as Kangana's top performance after Queen, TWMR and Fashion. She looked gorgeous and emoted well.

She showed once more that she was a class apart with this role. It's a pity that some of her scenes were edited out especially since Kangana is proud of those. Julia was such an interesting role and not everyone could have done it.

I loved seeing her as a Diva. These women were strong and fragile and so very beautiful. Kangana managed to deliver this aspects of the character. I hope she won't get forgotten at the award fonctions because Rangoon was a disaster. She truly deserves something.

Rangoon was a weird movie. Saw it on Netflix. It felt like a really long story without any substantial storyline.

I have to confess that I have problem in understanding VB movies😆.
Haven't seen Rangoon yet, I couldn't get head or tail of Matroo ki Bijli ...left it after sometime.

Even Kaminey was bit harsh on my pea brain😆

😆 Trust me... don't hold hopes especially at commercial ceremonies. 😛

According to her, her highlight scene was where Julia whips herself to bleed when she is conflicted with the guilt of loving Shahid and Saif at the same time.

She was pissed that it was lying somewhere on the editing floor. I hope at some point we get to see as a DELETED scene.

It was promotion that made it a disaster. Public doesn' t care to know everything. But when your movie is based on something, you need to create awareness. Generate interest. Showcase real scenes of Fearless Nadia, spread more news about Subash Chandra Bose/ Burma. This was not complete fantasy movie. There was historical base that should have been exploited. The marketing team, producer, stars - none of them actually did anything beyond acting. They are not Salman. They should have been pro-active trying to sell the movie. All I heard was bickering... 😆

I watched it on Netflix recently and I quite liked it. It wasn't as dark as other VB films so I'm very surprised it tanked. There were a bunch of funny moments. But I disagree with Saif on the cleaver but. It was prettying straight forward. It wasn't like Kaminey where you have to use your brain to watch.

I saw the film finally...it was a tad boring in the 1st part...they focussed a bit too much on the details so the end was sort of rushed...they did not even show Saif give the sword to the intended recipient..also the change of Saif character from grey to good was so sudden

The movie was not relatable because I don't think we or our history highlights the Burma war stuff as something significant. It's not part of our history lore so to see a story set there without any new insights felt insignificant. Also I felt VB got carried away with Hollywood where they have many war movies based in south Asian countries and where major stars entertaining troops during war was very popular. I am not sure if we had that tradition but even if we had it was not a very popular or well known one for people to relate to. For me I think that was the biggest disconnect, you make a supposedly historical reference film where nobody could connect with the history. The history felt too westernised.
Could have done with more intrigue. Both Saif and Kangana and to a certain extent Shahid were really good. Saif especially was really good. He personified the character. Would have loved to see the love triangle play out without the backdrop of Rangoon war but instead the backdrop of Bollywood during that time with all its liberalism and yet conservatism.
