It's a generation thing. A star can only enamor a single generation. Rajesh Khanna, Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Dev Anand, Raj Kapoor, Guru Dutt, etc. all charmed a single generation.

With the Khans, they arrived at a specific juncture in time that was transitioning from old media to new media. And, they are known as the last of a dying breed, which is why they've stayed at the top more than any other star apart from perhaps only Dilip Kumar.

But all of them together haven't been at the top. In the 90s, it was basically between Salman, SRK, and Sunny. In the 2000s, it was between SRK, HR, and Akshay/Aamir. Since then, it's between Salman, Aamir, and SRK/Akshay. This merry-go-round has actually helped the three remain top stars if anything.

I agree but one has to accept that what rises, has to fall. Change is the only constant in this world. No way can any star maintain his/her stardom forever. People remain fans but the hysteria subsides.

How tone deaf can you get Bhai ? He had 20 plus years to work, to resurrect his career. But a man lost his life. He was homeless but his life had value. God assigns the same value to each life be it rich or poor, famous or non famous.

As for the family losing money because of court cases, make the useless brothers of his sitting on their fat asses, their wives, the father who has not one, but two wives work. The sister who married nalayak useless. They are exploiting Bhai. Perhaps it is Karma, that is the reason despite making so much money he is exploited by his own family, he is surrounded by people yet alone and lacks that one person to build his own family despite being one of the biggest movie stars ever.

What a disgusting and insensitive statement. This is low even for his standards, and that standard is bottom of the barrel low. Way to trivialize the tragic loss of a human life, by making it all about himself and his rich people problems when someone lost their life, and a family will never get justice or peace. How heartless can one be to disregard the loss of a human life like this and not even be sensitive or empathetic towards the matter out of respect for the family of the deceased. I can't imagine what they must feel to have to witness this guy not only rule the nation and be adored by millions but to also have to hear him make these type of statements.
