I already know abt that news... it's good that people reported abt that guy's extremist views but it would be better if efforts were made to stop instilling such extremist views in susceptible minds, in the first place... like they say prevention is better than cure.
[DIV]the actual situation is like this - something is announced from a mosque and hundreds of people will gather in the streets with stones and weapons.
Sorry I don't know what's happening in India so can't say anything about your example, I don't know how credible the source is and whether there were refutations etc.. I only know thoroughly, about what's happening in Britain, specifically England and London. And this whole 'it starts off in mosques etc etc' just doesn't hold true. You know why? Because we've got efficient security forces, we've had undercovers go into mosques over the years and not find anything except mosques preaching against extremism. Mosques are public places, open to all, there's no hiding or secrets there.. I also doubt parents are indoctrinating their children to become suicide bombers since evidence tells us that all previous perpetrators were not on the same page as their family or close to them. In fact the evidence shows that the perpetrators would drink, take drugs, (I.e. Not behave like a good Muslim) and like a lot of other young criminals they were disenfranchised, angry youths susceptible to hate brainwashing. In many ways it's very similar to the gunman who goes into a school in America and murders children before killing himself.
I have no doubt that the security forces have stopped many incidents from being carried out, and this hints more and more at the fact that the reason why it's hard to pin these monsters down and stop them is because it's mostly online and they're not leaving a trace. So in this instance it's about ALL of us being responsible and reporting anything extremist to the police. That's not just down to a Muslim person, you should be doing the same.
And note, this doesn't just apply to ISIS but any person whose hate-brainwashed by something to kill someone. Last year, Thomas Mair shot and stabbed MP Jo Cox multiple times. That was far-right terrorism even though the western media doesn't like using the word terrorism unless a Muslim name is involved, can't change the facts, it was terrorism. So everyone needs to be vigilant and report all these types of extremist behaviours, for any hope of improving the current scenario.
@namkeen halwa In Britain, before Al-Qaida in the noughties, we have experienced bombings by the IRA. The group members were Irish and Catholic. So Britain definitely knows a time where perpetrators of horrendous attacks were not Muslims. But it was only the ignorant who ever felt that all Irish/Catholics were evil.
