Even if more scenes of Mahendra and Devasena were shown as mom-son, I'm sure the actors would have done complete justice to their characters making us forget that they crack a different chemistry as couple.. 😉

Among the last war scenes, I looovved the one where bhalla and Mahendra were on the opposite poles of his almost broken down chariot, Mahendra above and bhalla below and they aimed spears. Still. The bg. Ophhh tremendous.

I always get emotional reading books and watching movies.
I cried buckets even during Mirchi movie.

When deva says all those hurtful things to Jai 😭

Coming to Bb, may be like you said the scene was necessary to show how Bhalla is because frankly before that scene I did not feel extreme emotions towards Bhalla. I mean Anger/ hate wasn't there in me.

In fact I was more angry on his son for the way he talked and behaved with deva.

I Also hated Bhadra actually for that one particular scene where he called her a bitch!
but towards Bhalla, my emotions, are like a graph!
u know I actually liked Bhalla😆

That was a great scene and another great scene was when Jr Bahu killed Rudra and people bowed to the new king in town.

The proud mother's expeession. Sweety was terrific.

I was talking with my friend after watching BB1 regarding sweety's screen space in BB1. I was disappointed.

But after BB2 we were like "we are dumb to not understand how powerful Devasena was when we watched BB1"

We should have thought "if she is like this now (when she is tied and tortured) how was she than.
Devasena character was a pleasant surprise to me in the movie.

Exactly so. I got no essence of Devsena in Bb1.
Bb2 said the whole of the story. Bb2 portrayed every role tremendously. My friend watched bb2 pehle and bb1 later and was extremely satisfied she didn't watch bb1 pehle.

One more similarity.

When Mahishmathi has a face off with Kalakeyas.
We have Sivakami standing ahead followed by the prince's and the army.

When The Real king of Mahishmathi declared war to claim his rightful place.
We have Devasena ahead followed by her Prince Mahendra and the army.

I really love Rajamouli for how he made women (Mom's) in his movie so powerful.
Why should it always be Dad? It can be MOM too.

Yes! I am in the same boat.

In some places I felt "poor Bhalla too" 😆

I think Rana has that effect on us. 😆

Amongst every other bit of women empowerment the film represented, I loved how devasena's brother supported her in everything. This film is an epitome of women empowerment.
Devsena was hailed by her brother in every decision.
Bahubali supported her in every decision.
Kumar verma never questioned her choice.

Shivagami was the ultimate decision maker in everything.

another frame of Senthil that I loved is Bhalla's!

After telling Sivagami not to malign her decision with those gifts, The camera angle is low to high as Sivagami Devi also looks above.. The way bhalla's full height is shown! He has grown in his mother's eyes!

Mahendra was deprived of his mother despite her being alive -- this is the saddest thing ever.

Above I meant crushing Bhalla's ego. That day she wasn't in a position to run away. She wanted to keep her head high and not run away, rather stand face to face. Despite how much he tortured her she never bent to him. I always had a feeling despite keeping her as a prisoner for years, he never had the satisfaction.
