I have to agree, Amarendra Bahubali is the most iconic character of Indian cinema.

Just watched the movie... Amarendra bahubali stole my heart, too! Such a prefect prince! His and devasena's love story was such a pleasure to see onscreen, both such noble and brave individuals! I have a girl crush on devasena, she always told it like it is, loved her for standing up again and again to sivagami, and calling wrong a wrong instead of cowering. Such a badass she is! And bahubali supported her each and every time even when he has to give up his throne and palace as a result. Though it was love at first sight for bahubali, he showed his true love for devasena through his actions, and in return, devasena was his completely. I cried SO much when he died. Till the end, he was there for his people and his mother and in the end, that very mother ordered for his death and he had to die at the very hands that raised him, kattappa. It was so so sad. 😭 and as a lot people said, mahendra was a bit lacking in comparison to amarendra and how it was on purpose, you could clearly differentiate both, it is also because amarendra grew up as a prince with all its responsibilities, while mahendra grew up free spirited away from all that baggage, but in the end he defeated and set that bas***d bhalla on fire for his mother anyways, so he did what he set out, too. And am sure he will prove himself for his people and gain their love just like Amarendra.
