Absolutely. That was a great and skilled king and warrior at play. Amarendra quickly assessed the strengths and weaknesses of the Kuntala Kingdom and motivated the segments accordingly.

What better way to seal his place in Devasena's heart?

Bahubali 2 (Hindi) Day At 325 Crore After Ten Days
Monday 08 May 2017 12.00 IST
Box Office India Trade Network
Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion (Hindi) had a record second weekend as it grossed around the 80 crore nett mark beating Dangal which had grossed 70.82 crore nett in its second weekend. The total business of the film stands at 325 crore nett apprx which is the third highest total for a Hindi film till date and could be the highest after two weeks depending on the weekday business.
The weekdays could see the first noticeable drops as it has consumed a lot of business in ten days and these numbers are without 10% of the market. Till date it has exceeded all expectations. The film lifetime circuit records in Mumbai, CP Berar and West Bengal in just ten days and eventually it will set new highs in all the Hindi film markets. The collections of Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion in Hindi till date are as follows.
Week One - 2,45,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 20,00,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 26,50,00,000
Sunday - 33,00,00,000
Second Weekend - 79,50,00,000
Grand Total - 3,24,50,00,000
The Hollywood release Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 grossed around 7.25-7.50 crore nett over its first weekend which is a low total but still double the last installment as far as India business is concerned.

Finally saw the movie.
My review

Total paisa vasool movie. I am so glad I wasn't disappointed. The romance was respectful and mature. I was disappointed with the romantic aspect in the first part but this one made up for it. The romance and comedy itself wasn't a distraction but major part of the plot. Also they built up the characters well enough that I was genuinely sad when it falls apart for them. Even the side characters like the cowardly guy at devsena's palace (sorry forgot his name) had a great arc and I was sad at his end too. I do feel like middle part was stretched a little but it was necessary. Usually I can tell which parts to cut but there was nothing that wasn't necessary to the plot. I did not care for the music. Some of the background tunes for montages seemed to add unnecessary length. I did find the second part of the tale missing the moments where they train bahubali jr. It seemed a little abrupt that a village boy was ready to lead a war. Tamannah's role should have been kept to give him some time to absorb the story of his parents and learn some basic warfare. I'm glad the last scenes were all one on one fighting because he could use his brute force rather than warfare skills he didn't possess. I'm so glad there was some logic to this story and they worked their way through any loopholes. All in all a satisfying experience.

A special shout out to devsena for being so badass . Also great plot point for keeping a girl's right to choose her husband as a point of contention between mother and son and not the boy's love for the said girl. I think if his mother asked him to let go of his love bahubali sr. would have let devsena go but because devsena had made her choice he supported her right to make that choice.

Personally, I don't think Amarendra would have backed down, but he was in a dilemma alright, not because of the throne on the other side, but because it was his Mother.

Devsena made it easier for him to realise the extent of his promise and his role as her chosen life partner. Also, he had promised Devsena, on basis of the dharma that he had been taught, that he would only part from her when death separated them.

She was his true equal, in thoughts, action, spirit, intelligence , was a warrior like him. And then that regal composure. They were equals in true sense of the term. And of course, they were in love.

But I wished he had worried about her and his son as well, when he was taking his last breaths.

Yup, I agree,..( during Kuntala attack ) they were random and looteru third party ppl / pindaris,... not sent by Bhalla at that time,... They were the same ppl,.. when young devsena's entry scene is shown and she is seemed skillfully fighting with them and knocking them down,... and Baahu watches her first time,.. They were the ppl, who were killing Kuntala's ppl and flowing them in river ( in one scene,.. when Baahu starts drinking water from that lagoon, and all of a sudden watches all dead bodies )

Though,.. That's a question,.. whose were those burning horns' cows? Did those Pindari brought with them,.. or It was Kuntala's village,... and if so,... even Baahu sent a fired arrow,.. how come they were having their horns already kerosened in advance? Also many Flood and dam broken scenes out of no consequence and water broke and all such seemed totally fake and out of no consequence of locality from anywhere,... Katappa was also not shown fighting ( dunn'o why ) during that Kuntala fight or, in the end fight that much,...!

Also,.. in that another fraud sequence when,.. Bhalla and his cunning father play a trap to send that guy ( Devsena's pradhan ) to kill Bhalla,... ( and finally they kill him there ) at that time, one woman was shown as a shield for a fraction of second, who was she? Rajmata ? ( I am not talking about, Rajmata who comes later at the scene, after Bhallas face was fakely injured to show the blood and play a game and all such,.. and dialect-baaji happens.. )

Also Sr. Bahubali, when being killed by Katappa, it is also not shown anywhere talking about his wife and just new-born,... to let take care of them by Katappa,..( he talks only about Rajmata ) that sounded too much wrong,... for whom, he had left Rajmaata.

Devsena name chosen, was not good,. it should be rather Devyani ,... as it sounds like Vanar-sena .

Movie lacks the very important beginning introduction,.. as in IMHO, when the movie starts,... ( since part-1 seen, was more than 2 years old and no one can have that refreshed memory,.. ) just to refresh the memory of part-1( just like episodes of Mahabharat or Ak's series of 24 ) they should have had few introduction,. clips/ raaj-mahal's overall views and still-frame scenes which should have shown, in still frames,... saying,...

" Yeh hai mahishmati ke Sr. Bahiuballi,.. amarendra bahubali,.. jo aab nhain rahe,. aur katappa ke hathon maare gaye huye hai,...jin ko aap ne pahele bhag mein dekha,.. aur jin ka beta Jr. Bahuballi, aab gaanv, khet-khaliyaan aur parabato-nadi-naale mein khelta-kudta bada ho gaya hai,..gganv mein pala-bara, ..aur raaj-kumari jaisi, avanthika ke prem pe pud, apni maa ko bhi chhuda kar uus gaanv mein le gaya hai,... Amrendra , raj-mata ka apne nahin, bulke,... apni diyrani ke bete hai,..jinhein unhon ne apne bete se bhi adhik pyaar se paala-posha hai,.. jin ke maa-baap aab nahin rahe,... aur,. yeh hai un ke patidev naasir aur uun ka apna beta Bhallah,.. aab hum aap ko Mahish-mati ki aur le chaalte hai,.. dekhiye Pichhe kya huaa thaa,, ya fir,...aab aage kya hota hai ! "

It was needing only 3 min. of introduction, with few still-frames, about the summery seen in part-1 to refresh the memory...

Prabhas did an excellent job in both his roles in the movie. Though it was the same actor, Amarendra and Shivudu both looked and acted very different. Prabhas did a superb job differentiating between the charismatic, valiant Bahubali and the impulsive, 'lover boy' Shivudu. Never once in the movie did it feel like Amarendra and Shivudu were the same person, and that is the true mark of an actor.

Don't take it wrong,... or perhaps, one may say,.. it's coz I am from the North,... whatever... But Prabhas height and body was excellent, good and perfect per the role requirement - a bahuballi, a Veer, Yodhdha, a Nar-banka, a run-bhoomi shurveer,. , .. etc,... But somehow at many and more events and incidents ( though he was saved by the cinematography, VFX, CGI and perhaps that was the main actor in these kind of movies ) his facial expressions failed terribly ( to differentiate himself from comic / good mood / anger / showing pity / love-buddy ) and all diff Mudras that a face of an actor should be eligible to produce it with 100 perfect perfectness on the face.,... Very few like, .. rajesh khana, amitabh, aamir, dilip kimar, Salman, Hema, Meena kumari, Sharmilla,.. .. and such heroes in their prime-time could achieve it with almost perfect ness that a normal person can never do,.. and that's why they are called actors and super stars,..

If you had seen 60-70's movies the camera ws remaining onactor's face very zoomly, most of the time, in cinema,... be it Hema or Meena kumari, coz they can deliver it, feelings and very expression,..

Sadly, I found Prabahs a good role character for the,... Nand-lala type ( saumya-bhaav ) and ,.. or say,... suit for Arjun in mahbharta,.. or say,... Ram of Ramayana ( like the role, Arun Govil ) did,...

The reason being, Ram always had a Saumya bhaav on his face and you do not need to develop anger, krodh, aaveg, aakrosh, Josh, sad, sorrows, happiness, love-mood, tears and other so many complexions of felling of portray,.. ever needed to bring on the face,... So ? Arun Govil ( Ram ) was a great success,...

Somehow, I saw Prabahs failing that facial expressions of changing mood-mizaaz per the scene situations, ... be it comic/angry/ love-,making/ sadness / happy / angry, funny and pranking mood.,... etc, which Rajesh Khanna or Amitabh had,.. Dilip kumar, aamir and Salman has,.. ! Prabahs, somehow I found not that excellent in facial complexion to portray all different mood and mizaaj of da Jahan. Ofcourse in action movies with limited holding scenes of dialect-baaji and VFX/CGI effects in abundance , a director can hide such lack, very successfully,...

^^ People's perceptions may differ, especially since physical attributes are very subjective and not factual. I found Prabhas extremely good looking and his physique perfect for the role of Bahubali. Rajamouli truly chose the best actor for the role, as I cannot think of anyone else, either in Tollywood or Bollywood, who could have portrayed the character better. I found ever Prabhas' expressions and mannerisms perfect, he was truly the ideal warrior all around. He was in fact inspired by Arjuna from Mahabharat and Ram from Ramayan, so it's no surprise that his expressions are similar to them. And yet,he was not them. Bahubali was a well-written character with his own share of faults and virtues, and Prabhas did an excellent job portraying that.

When they release the DVDs, I hope they include all the deleted scenes that didn't make it into the movie, especially Avanthika's moments in the final battle which were all edited out, and any other Bahu-Devasena moments that they didn't add due to time constraint.
