Namkeen_Halwa & Anon39: Absolutely true. obesity is fast gaining medical attention in India & UK & US & ppl have been switching to far healthier diets & the vegan route, b/c everyone is waking up to the fact how processed, unhealthy, and nutrionally deficient most food we eat it is. Eating fresh/organic is very expensive too ESP in UK & US so economics comes into play there too. PcJr very well could be obese & was definitely body-shamed a lot for that too, but her constant obsession with it is extremely irritating now. I know many women who've PCOS & though they aren't fat , are definitely over-weight & the body-shaming cruelty around weight, the comments, all are sheer bullying, so in a way I also understand why she is so paranoid about her weight b/c she does make a living in an industry which has power gatekeepers like KJo, AdiC etc & if you aren't model-thin like Anushka, PC, Tamanah or don't have a body that every male fantasises about a la Kat, you might as well not exist in commercial films because the visual aspect is bright & very strong.

^In the US, there are actually pro-obesity people now with their nonsense "fat acceptance" movements. All they do is whine constantly about thin people on magazine covers, not finding "cute" cheap clothes in their huge sizes, airplane seats not being big enough, demanding that health insurance or govt pay for all their obesity related conditions, etc. All they do is sit writing tumblr blogs complaining about how persecuted they are and compare themselves to minorities like black people in their oppression.

Anon39: Ummm I've PCOS, and while it's certainly a lifestyle disease, and many women do become over-weight, I am not fat. I used to be very thin so would love to go back to there but the will & motivation have disappeared. The weight takes too much time to lose & the urge to eat lot of fatty food is far too tempting so I speak from compete experience b/c yes, I do battle the nasty side-effects of it too!! Let's hope I can kick it!

Yes she was obese. The difference between being obese and overweight is not a matter of opinion. It's a math. You calculate your BMI.

I'll give her credit, she probably was obese in her pre-weight loss days. But it's been years now, and this is all she talks about. Such hollow jaap to me tells me that she's pretty velli barring the few films that she has...if there was actual stuff going on in her life, she would talk about it. She seems to have pretty much stagnated. Pretty much all she does now is talk about weight loss or go on vacations

Come on, Pari. WE get it, you lost weight, it's something to be proud of, yes. This is too much though, find something else to talk about.
