Really the bitchy title & comment that started this thread!

So, we cannot congratulate Surabhi for her big win in the Best Actress category without putting others down? I guess all the Special Mention Awards winners from the past, that felt like they won a LEGITIMATE National Award too must be really stupid to think so!

A real thread to celebrate Surabhi Lakshmi winning the National Film Award Best Actress Award for her performance in malayalam movie Minnaminingu (The Firefly) would not start with a bitchy comment because another national award winner is happy to celebrate & share her joy with the world! This thread is just another excuse to take digs at Sonam for daring to have her happy moment.

& frankly, that makes me angry for Surabhi because her win is amazing by all accounts. True celebration for Surabhi should be about her:

She is the sixth Malayalam actress to win the National Award for Best Actress.

She broke another record, she is bringing the National Award for Best Actress back in Malayalam industry after a gap of 14 (!) Years: the last actress to win is Oru Vilapam for Padam Onnu in 2013.

& this is Surabhis first National Awards win. Outstanding!👏

I have been reading everything i can find on her & her movie, & i cannot wait to see it! And according to Wiki, she is still studying acting (B.A.(Bharathanatyam), M.A (Theatre Arts), M.Phil (Performing Arts). Ph.D (ongoing). Great!! ⭐️

I will be very happy when she stands on the stage in May to receive the prize for her work.

I dont knw for which film she gt d award bt she is a brilliant actress from what i have seen off!
Best comedian of malayalam industry n my dadi adores her n evn went and met her in M80 moosa set lol!

I really like everything i read about her so far! Do you have some of her movies to recommend? I love comedies (I really hope that I will find subtitles for all of them somehere on the internet. lol). & thank you for sharing your dads fan moment with her. Iam sure it was lovely.😳

Oh i dont knw abt movies she did only ide roles mainly in commercial movies!
I have seen her stage shows live n also on tv n then her tele show which is a hit in kerala!
Its nt my dad bt dadi 😆
