Why when we go in west we start valuing little things as our achievements? as if getting an insignificant role or taking a selfie with a drunk celebrity is some sort of achievement. to me it reflects low self esteem, lust for money and insecurities.
A real superstar would have objected to this role..why am I not fit to wear red bikin..a real superstar would have asked this question

While I see truth/possibility in what you say Hippo, I feel a person has more to him than what appears.. we can never really know anyone, no?
I'm speaking of possiblities :p
A possibility is that she has an agenda and perhaps wants to climb the ladder of 'success' as far as it might take her. And, so as to be an agreeable 'actress' or 'celeb', she may be taking up such cheap roles, taking selfies, being active speaker(tweeter?) on redundant current affairs of USA and so on... Afterall, anyone who wants to climb on the career ladder especially in showbiz industry, will be seen bowing down to any type of offers that come their way.
Another possibility is, maybe she is there and accepting all that is coming her way just for the sake of 'experience', is perhaps going about as life's taking her. Taking selfies - I never understood it, so, no comments.
But latter case seems less likely as she is SUPER ambitious.
Or could be a combination of both possibilities, or a combination of everything you and I mentioned ...(insecurity, low self esteem, ambition, letting life happen, a higher aim in hopes that these menial roles might keep her in spotlight for some gem of a movie/role, desire to be someone special as 'international celeb') and so on...
