Even National awards lost its credibility post having family members on board which led to victories of like of Raveena, Saif and even Ajay and Amitabhs win was questioned due to have industry friends on jury list.

Just saying national awards don't make you a star. Rajesh Khana, Dharmendra, 3 Khans, Akshay never won it till date. Has it made them a less of a star? Kangana despite national awards can't bring people to watch her films. What's the purpose of bragging about these awards?

It's good you win them but it's not gonna make you a superstar. Look at Rajkumar Rao. He won best actor for Shahid. Look at the collections for Trapped 😆

National awards too has its dubious results but still it is far more credible than the BW Film Awards

Saif's and Ajay's case, yes, but on the whole, the decisions are a lot less dubious when compared to Filmfare, Zee, etc. More often than not, the winners have done excellent work to back up their wins. The commercial awards never had as much credibility as the National Awards.

Everyone knows that appreciation and acclaim as an artist does not lead to box office success. But to many actors, doing good work is far more or equally valuable and satisfying as commercial success. This is often the case with people who do great work in theatre and then move on to films.

The situation also varies depending on whether one is a character actor or a lead actor. Commercial success primarily matters for the latter. Kangana has had a few critically and commercially successful films, which will definitely lead to numerous more opportunities. Her future beyond the next year or two will depend on the box office fate of these films. Too soon to write her off.
