Kangana is not above conservative mindset as she has called other female actors as public property.

Do not make her great. She is nothing but a shrewd woman who is using psuedo feminism to stay in news.

Enough with this forum's obsession with "pseudo feminism." If you (not you specifically but the general you) need to slander feminism all the time and constantly look for reasons to do so, it's most likely because you prefer misogyny.

Kangana very clearly said she is NOT a feminist. Look up articles where she said it very clearly. She fights for herself which she's allowed to do. She also breaks rules and doesn't kowtow to every man in BW like women are expected to do.

However, she is not the flag bearer of feminism. No one person can ever be and no one person can be used to constantly be regressive and put down a movement that aims to help all women attain equality.

She is not a crowd puller and she is not overhyped either.. She got fame for her acting but never did get the stardom which is required for being a crowd puller..

Btw, it's quite telling that people are so ready to give credit to men for being crowd pullers but even hit movies like Piku are taken away from the actress in them because suddenly then the content matters. Your prejudices are very visible.

The truth is nobody, no man or woman and that includes prize cow Salman Khan, has a magical presence that draws crowds for no reason. Movies are a combination of many things - scripts, acting, music, story, etc. A big reason for Salman's success is the content of his movies just like it is for everyone else.

People know they can go to a Salman movie and get certain things: a simple and easy to understand plot, comedy, silly/catchy music, action, etc. It will be a fairly wholesome movie without cussing or bad language, no sex scenes, nothing too weird - people can watch comfortably with their joint families. Poor people also get the variety show they want - 3 hours of escapism and fun without lectures or slow moving history lessons or rants about women's rights, etc. These movies are generic enough that they suit everyone and don't turn off anyone.

He has created a reputation for himself for offering a certain type of movie experience. It's ALWAYS about the content. They become big stars based on that content they are providing.

It's much harder for women because they just aren't offered a lot of these big, fun type movies as main leads. They get forced into playing the hero's sidekick instead of being the hero. So of course they cannot build the same fanbase.

Like if unstabe character were easy to pull out! She had schizophrenic character, suicidal, terminally cancer patients, prostitute, virgins (Queen), drug addicted and you call this no diversity? Wow!
Deepika most challenging role was to play a western emancipated girl in Cocktail!
And no she isn't a pseudo-feminist. She is the future of Indian women. India is one of the most chauvinistic Nations in the world, as such her free spirit character can hardly be recognized by conservative Indian males like you.
And it's not her who sent a FIR notice to make the news... Roshan created the escalation especially to remove her from the news, which didn't happen, because she didn't want to submit to a male Ego (he wanted to preserve his god like brand image, something huge Ego stars will protect at all cost to preserve their fragile career (not based on talents, but on image).

So according to you Kangana is perfect modern woman who has choice to do whatever she wants to do- like speaking shit of anyone to fight for her rights. Then others can do the same with her. What she will do if entire fraternity families should get together and block her out of the good projects. Even these families are capable of snatching away her brand endorsements and future awards. This is what others can do in the name of unity. Then Kangana should not complain about others.

As far as I am concerned I simply do not like sexist version of feminism in this forum. How can you support a woman who refers other females as public property and plants false stories and accusations against others? I should refer this as sexism not pseudo feminism.

I am no ones fan. I simply do not like a person who puts false allegations on others to gather attention. Her delusional emails proved the same. If you have forgotten read this article.

As far image is concerned it is required to survive in a sanskari country like ours. This is a reason why people like actors, sport persons and politicians spent so much on image building. A person with a bad social image is shunned by the society.

Sometimes experiences in life make you understand human psychology and the reason why there are restriction on certain behaviors. Time teaches you everything.

Well she's a decent actress who requires a good script and a director to shine. If the content fails, she tanks as well.
Stardom comes with being able to pull people without a good story to tell 😆 And she doesn't have that.

On the other hand, except for the IF world, no one really thinks about her other than a few scattered people who pay attention to all the HR-KR tom foolery.
Honestly, unless you are an bollywood junkie, people don't pay close attention to all the nonsense that goes between these actors. People do have better things to do and far worse problems in their day to day life to keep them occupied.

So anyway my point is, Kangana is neither overhyped/ controversial nor popular enough within the masses to be a crowd puller.
