Raja, about her reply.. she is from the era where social media, photo shoots, promotions wasn't a thing and she became a star without that. Even if she had done all that, her career would have slowed down because the main issue is her age - she became too old to star opposite her usual co-stars who wanted actress in their twenties. Madhuri, Preity, Juhi, Urmila, Sonali, Rani all of them tried to maintain their position with different approaches but no one succeeded.

Well a madhuri or Rani cannot be put in the same category as pretty,urmila and sonali...I agree heroes preferred younger heroines but post black when she was getting all the big offers ,she settled for women centric films ..We had requested to do some light hearted comedies ..She rejected bhool bhulaiya and hey baby..Now those films were hits ..It doesn't matter to the industry how good she was in lcmd but all that matters is whether you have given a hit film or not ..So hey baby wud HV served that purpose ..She disappeared from the scene so the message went like no one wants to work and she is finished which was not the case ..Projection really matters a lot ..Look at Vidya ..She has slashed her fee and is doing so many films Back to back ..Rani even refused to do that, so the small scripts which had the potential were all rebuffed by her..We had requested to stop working with yrf,slash her fees etc etc 😆

I agree with you, she should balanced serious dramas with light-hearted comedies and outside YRF 👍🏼 Although Hey Baby was kind of a thankless role, but Bhool Bhulaiya would have been a great choice, Vidya got a lot of praise for that role. i guess Rani was busy with those stupid movies with Saif like Tara Rum Pum 🥱 even I didn't watch that movie lol. You should have become her manager, the way her career was managed after 2005 is sooo sad 😭

Infact we wrote to yrf multiple times for hiring a new manager and a PR .. I hate budhha Adi for mishandling her career..He gave her all the wrong advice ..Before going into a relationship with him,she was doing very well on her own ..I remember during those days her films were least promoted on TV by yrf..We wrote everything in that letter ..Well utv did a good job with NOKJ..That's how it Shud have been done ..And Mardaani was promoted well .
