I do'nt think so many girls will lie and give their real name ,identities. They could've done this from troll fake acc if defamation was the intention.Harassment molestation is hard to prove, and we know how 'respectfully' the cases are handled in court.I think the girls got pressurized and backed out. IWorkplace sexism harassment is very common, most of us girls face it.

If the woman did lodge a complaint about molestation, what would happen in court? Unless you have goddamn CCTVs installed in every office, how the hell you can prove that Arunabh propositioned her for sex or molested her.. it's darn impossible. What happens is it turns out out to be his statement vs her statement and the lawyers' job is to prove that the woman is lying. To prove that, they would find out whatever the woman ever did in her past which is not "good character" and get other colleagues to say he didn't molest them. Case over. and people would take "lack of proof" judgement as hey the woman was lying I knew it!!

The point of that post was to warn newcomers and innocent woman about this Arunabh guy. Plenty of woman have given their names and corroborated with her experience - if someone still thinks he's a doodh ka dhoola guy because he didn't get arrested that's a shame.

or maybe their jhooth would have been caught in police investigation. Mohali bus case and tht AAP girl traffic signal case is prime example of how social media is used in such cases .

Honestly, this is a very tedha case. Anybody has a link of all those 50 complaints? Coz I am sure I came across about 10-12 complaints and rest were said to be in DMs and were not made public. Some of these women were influential and big names so I fail to see the reason why they didn't file a complaint atleast.
Also, I think some of the complaints were so naive(for the lack of a better word) that they can never see the light of the day in a court of law.
Example being: https://mobile.twitter.com/MisterRathod/status/841353991120404482/photo/1
What Asmiah has written makes Arunabh sound like a creep for sure but there is no way it is anywhere close to molestation. Such complaints would have not sufficed as evidence coz the guy propositioned sth to a woman and she turned down the offer.

Absolutely, 100% true.

It is also true that for the privileged, equality is oppression.

I might be coming across as chauvinist to you but the false cases against men is on the rise and I don't buy the argument of saying on fb and cannot file cases due to pressure and all.

I would not say chauvinist. I have not seen you make assumptions about all feminist being anti-male or spiteful/hateful. You have not stooped low to call people ugly or make rape threats because someone disagreed with you. Most importantly acknowledge the term feminism and know its meaning. It makes me assume that you agree with the principle of feminism that is equality between men and women.

I would say that you are just someone who is very fortunate to have been born into a relatively privileged position. You probably do not have much experience being a minority or underprivileged. So it is understandable that you are more concerned about a few false allegations instead of the draining reality of being a woman that end up burying discrimination and abuse, even severe ones with proof.

Part of me wishes to say that maybe someday you will experience this level of discrimination and understand. But that would be wrong, petty and spiteful of me.

I only hope that someday, someone can explain what it means to be a woman and why many of us fear retribution/retaliation in a way that you finally understand and empathize.

Police Case Against TVF Founder Arunabh Kumar After Complaint By Woman

MUMBAI: A case has been filed against Arunabh Kumar, founder of The Viral Fever, for alleged molestation after a woman finally came forward to file a complaint against him. The 34-year-old IIT graduate has been accused of sexual harassment by at least five women, but none of them had filed a complaint against him. Urging the women to speak up, the Mumbai police had said in absence of a complaint, filing a First Information Report against him would be difficult. There were reports that the police were even contemplating closing the inquiry against him.

Mr Kumar, who had denied all allegations, had told Mumbai Mirror that he was "open to receiving a police complaint so that I can respond legally as well". Last week, he was questioned by the police after a third-party FIR application was filed by criminal lawyer Rizwan Siddiqui, reported Mid-Day.

The allegations against Mr Kumar had made headlines when an anonymous woman blogger wrote on March 15 that she had been abused within weeks of joining TVF in 2014. The woman, who is in her mid-20s, wrote that she had been asked to "walk out" when she informed her bosses. The blog said she quit the organisation last year.

After the blog went viral, four more women came forward with similar allegations. Even Director Reema Sengupta, in a Facebook post, accused Mr Kumar of touching her inappropriately during a shoot in 2016. Mr Kumar had denied the allegation.

The TVF, founded in 2011, runs a YouTube Channel, produces popular web series Permanent Roommates, Pitchers and also owns the women-centric YouTube channel Girliyapa. As the allegations against its founder evoked widespread outrage, the company said it should have "handled its response better".
