I honestly think she didn't really deserve the NA mention.

She was quite bad in couple of films.

Despite the weight loss, she hasn't been flooded with offers.

She got the mention primarily for Ishqzaade, because after a long time a new actress had shown a lot of potential.

But didn't she say she's doing a BIG movie hence she couldn't give her dates to Piku? Vijan's movie was not a big movie, so I think she was talking about Mr & Ms Tapori.

ETA: Jan 2014 article...

Says the matter-of-fact actress, "Who wouldn't want be cast with Mr Bachchan? But unfortunately my dates for Shoojit's film are clashing with another very big film to which I've already said yes. Never knew about this.

OT: She is so beautiful and talented. She just had a big gap probably because of projects getting shelved. Hope Bindu does well, Golmaal 4 will do well anyway but depends how much role she has.

Alia filled a gap left after Kareena. Shraddha is trying to fill a gap after Katrina. That is why they are being offered roles.

Thats a shame! So many people destroying their careers for Ranbir Kapoor. But Alia is pretty smart and I dont think she will wait for him. She must do Ashiqui3 with Siddharth or do Shoojit Sarkar movie with Varun.

As for Parineeti hopefully she will be back with her future films especially the one with Sushant.
