How many times people spread this lie? 😆
Madhuri's first son Arin was born 19th March 2003.
Devdas was released 12th July 2002. However it was already complete much before then.
It was shown at the Cannes Film Festival 2002 - which ran from 15th-26th May.
So either Madhuri had an 11-month pregnancy or she wasn't pregnant during Dola Re 😳

Only in this Forum that you get to see such results.
This is hilarious. Comparing Madhuri with Karishma is an insult right there and Karishma winning shows what is wrong with the audience.

Thank you for the laugh though.

Karishma was better and in Dola Re Ash was better. Everyone knows that.

Madhuri was equally great, just that she was given simpler steps and her relatively heavier physique made it difficult for her to do it as effortlessly.

Pinga in itself is an underwhelming song when compared to Dola Re where both the dancers don't even come across as real dancers. So nothing to say about that.

Aishwarya was anything but fluid in Dola Re. May be she was given difficult steps. But she did it as if it was a drill excercise. Just watch Madhuri in "baand ke mei ghumroo", then Aish in "pehenke mei payal". One looks fluid, other looks like drill. When both dance together on dola re (signature step), Madhuri's body seems to swing, Aish seems jumping.

I would repeat the same thing, what I mentioned about Karishma-Madhuri. Aish was younger, had better figure, more energy. But she was not good at dancing technique. Whether Aish or Deepika, they have just joined Bharat Natyam classes for the name sake. But few months of Bharat Natyam training cannot be equated to years of learning Kathak.

I would agree, Pinga was an underwhelming song compared to Dola Re.

More than the dance sequence, Madhuri's expressions as to wth Karishma (her character) is doing is what caught my attention. lol..the emoting was well done.

No. Karishma lacked grace, also she could never match Madhuri in expression.

Let me correct you, Ash trained for years in Bharatnatyam and didn't "join classes for a few months for the name sake"

As far as the drill exercise is concerned, I would simply disagree because she was extremely graceful and fast. The step you call Ash's drill and Madhuri's fluid - Madhuri is turning on the ground in the same place and Ash has to run around, so that comparison is null and void. Both did well there. Rather we could talk about a step which both of them performed, like the signature step that you talked about, Madhuri isn't even performing the complete step (she doesn't even bend fully) - look at the background dancers and at Ash and Madhuri. Madhuri clearly struggles here.

P.S. I would have watched this song at least a 1000 times or more, and both Madhuri and Aishwarya did extremely well with such intricate choreography. Was just disappointed one would have to put down one dancer to show the other in positive light. Nobody is perfect and if one looks for loopholes they would find them in both. But overall, this is a masterpiece of a song and everyone involved deserves a pat on their back for pulling this off.

How come Madz won BA for DTPH over Sridevi in Judaai?

Both released in 97. Both superhits. But no one can question that Madz was nothing award worthy in DTPH. And to give her an award in same year...
