Is Katrina Kaif really that bad of an actress?

I recently watched New York and ZNMD and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan this week. While watching those films I realised that Katrina's performances were quite good. I have also enjoyed her peformances in films like Namastey London, Ek Tha Tiger, APKGK and Bang Bang. She has had some flowerpot roles that I agree but is she really that bad of an actress?? I am not saying she is some elite level actress but she really isn't that bad as she is made out to be, what do you guys think?? Please discuss

P.s I haven't seen Jab Tak Hai Jaan or Baar Baar Dekho so I can't comment on her performances in those films

No she's not! She has acted well in a lot of her films but she's not versatile. She can do only certain type of roles. Her performance in Jab Tak Hai Jaan was really bad but that was because she was not fit to do that role.

She was good in MBKD because she suited that role. She was good in NY and Namaste London. I also liked her in ETT but that was because of her chemistry with Salman.

She's not an amazing actress but she has very very strong screen presence and X factor which makes her one of the top leading ladies of today.

I really liked her in Rajneeti, namaste London and even Maine par kyun Koya.

In Tiger Zinda Hai. She was poker faced throughout. Maybe Booz her role was that of a spy it kind of justified but it was not appealing. Salaman stood out in comparison because one could relate to his character. She was like a doll very beautiful but bereft of any expression.

Didn't like her at all in mere brother ki Durhan and Bang Bang especially in the comedy parts. Looked like she was play acting like a 5 year old with her ott cute expressions. I was horrified with her acting in bang bang. And in bar bar Dekho , she was relatively decent especially in the emotional parts.

She is very pretty and that's a huge plus. somehow one gets the feeling that she is not investing a lot in her acting or even getting her accent right. She became a huge star and since then instead of improving her acting skills she has let it regress. Can't understand why

Yes she is bad.. she can't even tell a Hindi dialogue properly and you are saying she is not bad..

The movies you listed she was actually good in ...but there are some movies where shes done horribly.

I would say romance isn't exactly her strong suit not dramatic/emotional acting. She tends to excel in action or comedy.

She entertains me n that is what I care abt. Her success is d answer to that who cares what intellectuals here think abt her? They like d movies like lunchbox (no one cares abt such movies let's get real)
