I can say a lot of bad things about KJo, but he goes for funerals. Especially if you are a good friend. KJo was full on supportive for Kajol's dad's funeral. Either he is not good friend of Aishwarya but he is good friends with the Bachchans and many in BW turned out more for them than Ash IMO, he would have been there. I do think he must have had a very good reason like he is baby mooning.

KJo has time to go to abroad.. to London but doesn't have time to go for Ash father funeral / Chautha being held in same city.. ie Mumbai?!

Karan's mother was there during the last prayer. It can be say his mother represent him for his absent. It's not like the whole family have to go. He might up with something urgent.

Aish's role in ADHM was only for 20 minutes. She is not the heroine. If Lisa & fawad are not there why she expecting special treatment just bcs she is senior to them.

Honestly there must be a really good reason why he didnt attend and sorry even if it has something to do with the babys as long as they arent really ill he still could go and his mother being there has nothing to do with represting him
Who knows but as long as i dont read later an interview him about Aish how he is the best friend and doing the right things but none of them appreciating him bla bla bla playing the victim

EXCLUSIVE: Karan Johar consoles Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, visits her home after her father's demise

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is not upset with Karan Johar and though he skipped attending the funeral and the prayer meeting, he visited the actress at her house to console her.

Media is abuzz with reports of actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan being miffed with her filmmaker friend Karan Johar for not being present by her side when her father passed away. Reportedly, Karan missed both the funeral and the prayer meet of Aishwarya's father and that has upset the actress.

However, our sources close to the actress and the director have rubbished the news. One of our source close to Aishwarya informed us, "This isn't true. Karan Johar was busy that day with his commitment and hence could not make it. But he made it a point to visit Aishwarya at her place in the night."

Adds another source, "Karan visited Aishwarya's father in the hospital when he was admitted. When her family and she were going through trying times, KJo took time out and was present by Aishwarya and Abhishek's side. And though he was missing from the funeral and the prayer meeting, his mother Hiroo Johar was present at the prayer meeting."

"Karan shares a great equation with both Aishwarya and Abhishek. So there is no question of anyone being upset with each other. Their bond is beyond all this. All these reports that Aishwarya is miffed with KJo are false. Nothing of that sort would have even crossed anyone's mind," clarifies our source.

Well, we hope that ends the speculations!

Aishwarya's father Krishnaraj Rai passed away on March 18, 2017 at 4.00 pm. The funeral was held on the same night and was attended by Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Randhir Kapoor among others. Celebrities like Sridevi, Kajol, Shraddha Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna along with Dimple Kapadia, Bobby Deol attended Aishwarya's father's prayer meet.
