Why Can't BW have Meaningful Song Lyrics?

Like the songs of Journey's or Bon Jovi's or Queen's or John Lenon's where they sing about life? Why do BW most of the times have love,boyfriend, girlfriend,bikini,vodka,ashiqui,pyaar,mohobbat,dard,bewafai,disco and thats all these days..

Yester-years' songs used to be so good in lyrics..

Old songs ( i'm not sure about the era..it was rajesh khanna-AB etc's time) had very good philosophy of life..

...there are very few songs about life na :( ...very few about the little things in life, or about society.. atleast no lyrics that are realistic depiction of relationships.

Even I wonder why.

Among the latest, only Gilerhiyaan has those lyrics I love.. talks about mood but still not the same old theme of love or party

..There are some old songs though.. Love You Zindagi also has cute chorus lines but the music is a big fail imo.

I wish they write about nature or village life - in telugu two latest songs are about the beauty of village :)

There are some old songs that come to my mind, though, about life/society and some other realistic lyrics or just cute lyrics apart from love/bewafai/heart-ache/separation/blah blah blah

I think lyricists should show some variation in what they write about :) ..even if it's about love... like for example -- if it's between couples or two people - cute lyrics in songs like - 'Bawra bada naadaan haye', 'acha ji mein haari', 'Jaane kahan mera jigar gaya ji', 'phailin huyi hai sapnon ki baahe', tandi hawayein' and so on.. which shows about the little things in relationships or little things that happen between two people or while falling in love - rather than all-encompassing dying melodramatic love that most songs talk about.. Simplicity is missing
