I agree that feminism essentially is about fighting for the quality for men and women. But, she didn't need to refer to the word "femenazi" because it is coined by men to specifically undermine feminism. Yes, there are women not going about the right way in gaining that "equality," but to refer to that term is undermining what real feminists do, which is work for the betterment of the women in the society. Why not actually focus on the real life women who are actually active and the great strives women are making in various fields in this 21st century? Why is she instead choosing to speak on such a narrow basis by referring to something negative as "feminazi" on women's day? 😕

If shes not out and about and spending all time with her baby, how come shes giving all these interviews at womens day events? 😆
Hypocrite!
All she wants is lots of media attention for giving birth and being a stay at home mom and a star wife who doesnt need to work either outside or inside the home. 😆

Honestly, it's pretty stupid. She is not an actress nor works. So why is she going around giving these interviews and being a spokesperson? It seems being a star wife is a vocation of its own. 😆

She should just become an interior designer and spare us with her lectures.
It is common for a husband and/or his family to demand ever-increasing dowry payments from the wife's parents, effectively holding her hostage: if sufficient amounts are not forthcoming, she might be killed.
Dowries and dowry harassment happens even in most middle-class and upper class families and Punjabis and Delhi people are actually pretty famous for it. I know many real life examples of men from educated and well-off families who think dowry is their birthright. Giving cars to grooms as "gifts" is very very common. Everyone knows the term "gifts" is just a euphemism for dowry.

Nowadays they even demand that the girl work and make a certain amount of money that has to be given as household maintenance. And of course there is the expectation that the girl is supposed to leave her parents and then take care of the guy's family. Many of these women have to ask permission to even visit her family or go out with friends. Then these men and their families parade around the world acting like they are so modern and educated and whine about "feminazis."

Women in the west are better off than almost any class in India but there is no equality even there.

She's clearly insecure and trying to take shots at her husband's superstar exes. Now she's trying to be a celebrity herself even though she hasn't earned or achieved anything.

Why is she even running around giving speeches and interviews? According to her own definition, she should be sitting at home with a baby in her lap all day.

Ai Ai Ai...
I got taken by in by good fashion sense, how she presented herself, how articulate she was, her degree and was impressed. 🤔. I always do. Stupid me.

But as I should have known being brainy and being informed is a whole another ball game. 😒

Mira sweetie, you are a mother of a daughter, read up what a feminist is.

Can someone plaster BW with definitions of what a feminist is. A few people need basic understanding.

Can someone please tell me why she is invited to these events? Her only 'achievement' is marrying Shahid!

@bold: I didn't know it was this bad, especially the so called educated lot. Why should groom demand a car, or a gift? Such regressive practices even in the educated lot is disheartening to say the least. And asking permission to visit family? Why would these women not have the SAME freedom as men in going somewhere? Appalling! 😡
