Randeep Hooda will be making his Television debut this year with the show MTV Big F. However, the actor, who was last seen in Sultan, has begun shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi's The Battle of Saragarhi.
Incidentally, there are about three movies being made on the same subject at the same time. The films are based on the Battle of Saragarhi which took place in 1897 between British Indian Army and Afghan Orakzai tribesmen in the North-West Frontier Province.
While Ajay Devgn's film is titled Sons of Sardaar: The Battle of Saragarhi, rumours started making the rounds that the movie that will be co-produced by Karan Johar and Salman Khan starring Akshay Kumarand will also be made on the same subject.
Though, Randeep does have a leverage here as the first film to release on the subject will be his. When we quizzed the actor on the same, he exclusively told us, "I am making my movie, not sure what they [Ajay, Salman, Karan, Akshay] are doing. I'm most interested in doing my part. It's a great subject and a wonderful story of bravery, of valour, sacrifice and standing up for what you believe in. Even if there will be 21 stories made on this subject, it would be less."
Randeep will be seen essaying the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, the military commander of the 36th Sikhs in The Battle of Saragarhi.
