Deepika Padukone: It's disappointing when rumours are untrue
Deepika Padukone gets candid on why she chooses to keep mum on her upcoming projects, says doesn't like to talk about a film until she's doing it.
Deepika Padukone last enchanted everyone with her alluring performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bajirao Mastani, which also starred her rumored beau Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra. Post her Hollywood debut in xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, she has now begun shooting for the Bhansali's period drama Padmavati opposite Ranveer and Shahid.
Since then her name has been associated with various movies, however, talking to a leading daily Deepika admitted that there have been a lot of speculations in the media, but fortunately or unfortunately a lot of it is untrue.
When asked if such rumours disappoint her, the Tamasha actor said, "Let me put it this way: it's disappointing when it's untrue and especially, if it comes out in a way that's absolutely contrary to what might be the actual case. But it's not my place to sit and talk about what happened and why." She was also reported to have been approached for Aanand L Rai's next, opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
However, the actor maintained that she doesn't like to talk about a film until she is sure of doing it. "I personally don't like to talk about a film until I know I am doing it. So, right now, I can't say what I am doing," Deepika said.
She further added that there's a certain unsaid code with which actors, directors or writers collaborate for a film, and sometimes things work out and sometimes they don't. "But I am not the one to speak of a film if I am not doing it for whatever reasons," she said. She also asserted that even if she hasn't liked a script, it doesn't mean that the film isn't good, it probably only means that she didn't connect to it.
Recently, Deepika was also snapped looking ravishing as ever as at the pre-Oscars party and post-Oscars party.
