Sonam Kapoor lashes out: I am proud of my body

Sonam Kapoor lashed out when some reports suggested that she was uncomfortable in her black gown.

We all remember Deepika Padukone's outburst when her cleavage got some unwanted attention. Deepika had said, "YES!I am a Woman. I have breasts AND a cleavage! You got a problem!!"

Well, this time it was Sonam who was caught in the midst of some unflattering pictures, which seemed to suggest that the B-town fashionista was not comfortable in her gown. However, Sonam cleared the air on her social networking handle saying, "I was very comfortable in my outfit. I said a lot of pertinent things, but obviously you guys rather report this!"

She added, "Sexist nonsense. The photogs went out of their way to take these pics.. and frankly I don't give a damn, I'm proud of my body! I felt hot as f**k!"

Now, what do you think of that? Sonam is known for speaking out her mind and for being honest and forthright in her opinions. The actress who was last seen in the movie Neerja, is known for her fashion sense and taste in clothes.

On the work front, Sonam will next be seen in her sis Rhea Kapoor's production venture, Veere Di Wedding. The movie is touted as Kareena Kapoor Khan's return to work after her maternity leave. The movie also features Sonam's BFF Swara Bhaskar.

Sonam recently shared a throwback pic of hers with a heartwarming message. Sharing a pic from her Saawariya days, Sonam said, "This was during the premiere of black. I was 19 years old. I miss that time so badly, I didn't have preconceived notions or any doubts or fears. I looked at the world through rose tinted glasses, thinking it was my oyster. Time brings a lot of questions and pain. How does one stay above it and retain that wonder and beauty. Looking forward gets harder everyday.. but hope still sustains us."

That's totallly fine..but "I felt hot as fuk" is sexualizing oneself but "I felt beautiful as fuk" is not sexualizing..that would be more appropriate and that's loving oneself and that's feminism.

Even a man can come out and say "I love my body and I will decorate my body in this way or that way"

But the problem is we are wearing black glasses so we perceive everything negatively.

It's not the dressing but the intention behind it...

A fully covered up person can go and harm others.

Oh Sonam so wanted pull a Disha Partani. Sorry but the photogs didn't have to do anything rather than clicking their camera!

It's good if you are proud of your body. Just do not make the photogs the escape goat for god's sake. 😆

I prefer Sonam than this one doing it often.

Someone tried to take him to court as well.

Bollywood actor John Abraham's photo published in a daily in June 2009 is not obscene, a Delhi court has ruled and rejected a plea for issuing summons against him.

Additional Sessions Judge Rajneesh Kumar Gupta Monday ruled that the picture of Abraham published in a daily June 11, 2009,
was aimed at giving information on Bollywood.

The court dismissed the plea of Chander Mohan Dua, a resident of Kirti Nagar in west Delhi, that the photo of the actor's naked upper body was obscene and vulgar.

Dua in his plea asked the court to issue summons against Abraham and the editor and the publisher of the daily.

"After going through the photograph of John Abraham and the contents of the news item, I am of the opinion that the picture is not obscene," said the court.

The court did not find any infirmity or illegality in a magistrate court's order which rejected Dua's plea earlier.

'As long as women stop objectifying themselves, people will stop objectifying them.

People have to respect themselves first for people to respect them.'

So this is hypocritical coming from her
