India is a democratic country and every religion has a right to adapt things as per the religion...Even in country like UK every religion is independent to follow their religious rules and regulations... Seriously I'm sad to see fellow Indians are supporting this law which will create lots of difference between them.

Wht if tomorrow Indian Muslims will demand separation ? You will call them gaddar !

I hope Bollywood speaks their mind before it's too late ..

Whatever the reasons here's my contribution 😊

As @ibnbattuta said here why not extend the Sharia law to criminal too instead of just civil code?

Cut off right hands of thieves who's religion happens to be Islam and for murder public execution like in Saudi Arabia

They demanded and got it - It's called Pakistan which later also split into Bangladesh which showed even Islam was not enough to keep them united

There is UCC in United States... It's also a religious and conservative country for a western country (things seem to be changing now)

People of all faith can practice their religion... Build their houses of worship, observe their holidays...

So what is the problem?

Of course Hindus cannot fire crackers in their houses and streets for Diwali, muslims cannot sacrifice goat on streets etc..

You will be arrested for bigamy regardless of your religion... So there are some restrictions.

P.S. Actually most european countries have uniform civil code - civil and criminal, secular law that applies equally to all citizens irrespective of their religion( although sharia law exists unofficially in countries like U.K.)

Most islamic countries have a uniform law based on shariah which applies to all citizens irrespective of their religion.

Look at the bright side, the things U complain about like doing Pooja and Bhajans in Govt events,

if there is UCC you can sue them for that.
