Mira Rajput became the most-talked-about
thing in 2015 and what followed next was
people criticising the Haider actor.
Everywhere on the Internet, you could see
people bashing Shahid for marrying a 21-
year-old girl and destroying her chances of
growing her career.
The banter didn't stop here. After Mira got
pregnant, the questions were based on how
so early she can deliver a child as she's so
young. In an interview with a leading daily,
Shahid has given a perfect reply to all the
haters.
When asked about the same, he said, "I
don't give importance to people who try to
get importance by criticizing those who are
important. Just because she [Mira] got
married early, doesn't mean she doesn't
have an identity. Today, women do what
they feel like doing. And, as men, we should
respect that. Whether you are a working
woman, housewife, young mother or a
woman who chooses to have a child at a
later stage in life, it's your decision. Mira and
I are really happy. I wish people could be
happy for those who are."
Mira and Shahid are one of the most
adorable couples of B-Town and their
appearance in Koffee With Karan created
ripples all over the news. Fans were
appreciating their jodi and chemistry.
"I think people have loved Mira's interview,
and I was also there (laughs). I think what
people enjoyed most was watching us as a
couple. It was more about seeing me as a
husband, and her as the person she is. All
the things that people have been saying
about her are things that I've known for
over a year. She's normal, she's great, she's
real," added Shahid.
The couple also made news when they
became parents to daughter Misha.
Currently, Shahid is busy with projects like
Rangoon and Padmavati, does he get
enough time to spend time with Misha? And
his answer is - "There is no Mira-Shahid time
now. All the time we have is Misha time. I'm
loving this phase."
