Actually every interview Hrithik has given post release has been about his Kaabil team (he always shared credit) winning hearts and receiving praise not box office success. He specifically said when asked what BO number would make him happy, a "heart shaped number". And in the last few days has said multiple times "it's not about the gold" it's about doing your best. Anyone who has been paying attention to Twitter would see that the appreciation for Kaabil and especially for HR from high and low has been immense. Some fans of the other film (most notably Box Office India) have relentlessly tried to turn Kaabil into a debacle even before the end of the first day. No it is not a blockbuster but it has more than survived its first week and is on track to be a bonafide hit (by producers numbers and analysts numbers except BOI which somehow has Kaabils budget only 5cr less than Raees 😆 ) despite not shifting in the face of competition against a bigger opponent.

The damage is already done. And what purpose will it serve when pirated 720p copy is available online.

BOI always pulled down SRK movies in the past. It has reduced collections for his movies, and those of some other actors.

It has even downgraded the verdict of SRK movies

In the beginning of this clash they were reporting correct numbers for Raees and bashing Kaabil, that was their game...now they have started reducing Raees collections too everyday

They also gave the false screencount as 3400 for Raees, see on every other sites its 2700 for Raees and 2400 for Kaabil during release.

BOI is run by fans of another star and they only hype that star's movies all throughout.

They should be happy now

Was Kaabil going houseful on those 40% screens throughout the weekend? No. If Kaabil suffered due to lack of screens on Saturday, then so did Raees. Raees too was running to its full capacity and needed more screens. The film with bigger potential gets the maximum screens. This rule gets followed for every clash. If people were so interested to watch Kaabil then they would have gone to the evening shows which had vacant seats.
