At 51 actors cannot stick to romantic roles, they have to diversify and reinvent themselves in different roles
But the movie with Anu is coming which is a romance. Hes really doing diverse roles now but some people are unable to appreciate that.

No-one can do negative roles better than shahrukh and i would take him anyday in Raees /Don type role than romantic role .

dont know about others but i had grown up watching srk movies as an ardent viewer. but now i dont feel the need to watch his movies.

films are not up to the mark is one small reason.

other reasons are

like men, young boys dont prefer tabu, madhuri, kajol, juhi, karishma but prefer new sex gods like pee cee, deepika, sonam, anushka, katrina. similarly there are many like me who want to see hot actors 😆. Sid malhotra, varun, ranveer, ranbir, john, shahid.

I think its fair square.

Films ,TV are visual medium, not literature book. So voyeurism, sex appeal will be a factor to watch a content ..why to deny this fact. Common SRK doesnt have anything left to make girls swoon over him. He is uncle now.

Moreover I dont understand why do we need to fight fan wars. We are not supposed to be purchased or be loyal to an actor who has lost charm. Have the audiences been loyal to 90's actresses when they made comeback? NO. If heroines can become old property why we cant treat declining heroes as old property? As if the actors are more sacred than the holy scriptures of all religions.

I think there should not be double standards. All should accept, yeah he was good, had done well in his career, now we like other actors..whats the big dea

the starpower is still there, in terms of openings, just the movies haven't been clicking. idk the ALR movie can either restore him or be a hot mess. i know he has an amazing track record but the movie sounds like a trainwreck on paper.

does 90's heroines get chances to prove themselves NO ! they r not given those kind of meaty roles they were offered...if a person is given fair chances n then fail to perform then they r a failure otherwise what's ur explanation for BUDDHA AMITABH for surving for so long he's isnt even a good actor IMO,...its a male dominated industry and always be...even if SRK fizzles out n gives flop after flop there would be ppl ready to make films with him or he can produce films for himself like he has been doing...but this can't be for actresses..look what happened with manisha koirala when she became producer with paisa vasool...bollywood is a sick place

The thing is he just doesn't know what scripts would work for him. Salman is in a enviable state where everything he does works. Of course, even he is varying his scripts from Barjatya to Kabir Khan. Aamir has got great script sense. Unfortunately SRK is just hung upon openings, collections, records, crore clubs. And not cinema. His off screen pesona is also not helping him. He kind of lost his screen prescense and charisma due to over exposure. Sad!
