@CP: IMO, if Ranbir wants a director with pan-india appeal, the best bet for Ranbir right now would be to absolutely make Raju Hirani fall in love with him for Dutt biopic such that he wants to cast him for his next movies. He has one of the biggest reaches amongst grass-root audiences.

But, i agree with him starting to take an initiative in the creative process. He already has with JJ. It's as much his braind-child as it is of Dada. But, now he needs to find a way to make the story-telling appeal to Pan-india in the future films that he's creatively involved in.

Ranbir doesn't need every film of his to be universal.

He just need to make good films. All those four flops were not liked because they weren't any good.

Jagga Jasoos will have a chance to recover it's cost if its worth watching. I said risk, Anurag Basu has directed a film like Kites & murder but also barfi😆 so you never know what's the outcome,

I liked Tamasha, mainly because of the incredible performance of Ranbir but I understand why it flopped.

Yes Deepu, Jungle book also had 24 songs and no one complained - copyright Raj 😆
Going by quality of teaser, it's a visual treat for kids.
The fact that RK and Kat are very popular amongst adults will also be help at BO.
Many kids dragged their parents to ABCD2 even when parents were not VD- Shraddha fans .
JJ is a complete family film - RK for mommies, Kat for dads and Animals for kids 😃

RK makes his directors fall in love with him. It is audience that he has issue with. 😆
