Its a bit of an exaggeration. But I get the point. Its wrong to hurt someone who might not have the physical strength to protect herself and you out power. Violence is wrong either way, unless it self-defense, defense of someone you know, or the defense of a helpless girl. I would like to believe that girls can and should be able to defend themselves though. And self-defense is justified to some extent even against a woman.

Yes like someone said women shouldn't get any privileges just because their woman. The message should be humanity not binary rules.
