first of all, this is not directed at all Salman fans, just certain Ines I've seen that seem to be so upset by Dangal's success 😆

All I keep reading is Aamir keeps breaking his OWN record, delivering all time highest grossers, one after another after another, only because he releases on Christmas.. really?

First of all, Dabangg 2 released on Christmas yet it failed massively, why? It had the 'mega' star Salman Khan, it had the Christmas holiday period, it had the New Years holiday period, it had a solo open weeks release, why couldn't it beat 3 idiots? Why did it fail so bad?

Srk's Don 2 also released as a solo release and again, it failed massively, why? I thought Christmas release = all record broken?

Why is it only when Aamir releases on Christmas that all records are smashed? I'll tell you why shall i.. its because with the exception of Dhoom 3 (which was still a good film) all Aamir's Christmas releases have been phenomenal and appreciated by the public and critics. That's why. 👏

That brings me to my main question, and The main argument I'm seeing. Bajrangi Bhaijaan (and to a lesser extent Sultan)

''Bajrangi was the best film of the decade''

''Bajrangi was the best film of all time''

''Had Bajrangi released on Christmas it would destroyed all records''

''Had Sultan released on Christmas it would have beaten PK''

Now I thought Bajrangi was a okay film, possibly Salman's best work, but let's be honest that's not hard with the below average/no story films he has starred in. The less said about Sultan the better as that was complete Rubish. So yeah, Bajrangi I'll say was okay, 5/10 film for me.

Now what I just don't understand at all is, if Bajrangi was as good as they all say, then why didn't it beat PK's record? You can't blame the 'Eid' release date as that is one of the best of the year.

It didn't beat PK because it wasn't no where near as good as PK. Simple as that.

Salman fans keep on saying Bajrangi didn't beat PK because it released on Eid, had it released on Christmas it would have beaten PK which I find laughable and a sad excuse to be honest.

If Eid release was so bad then how did SRK break the then all time highest grossing record of 3 idiots in 2013 with Chennai express?

How can Srk create an all time highest grossing record ON EID yet Salman keeps failing year after year after year? 😆

Salman has Tiger Zinda Hai on Christmas 2017 and SRK has dwarf film on Christmas 2018, let's see how they do 😊

Please enlighten me Salman fans, I'm genuinely intrigued.

I don't care about money.

People go to see Aamir's movies coz of script and intelligent cinema.

People go to Sallu's movies to see him, Script and intelligence jae tel lene !! This is called stardom.

Put Sallu in Aamir's movies - It'll do better or similar business

Put Aamir in Sallu's movies - Shows cancelled ka recrod will be khatre meii 😉

Im not hurt by Dangals historic success. I wished Dangal very well in all the threads ⭐️

Dangal is yesterday's news tho.

Now which film can cross Dangal. I think one of Salman's. He will keep trying until he ceases to exist. ⭐️⭐️ Sooner or later we will get it 😳

See I don't agree

imagine Salman in 3 idiots? He'd ham the movie inside out, it would perform like Jai Ho, semi hit at best.

Put Salman in Dangal and it would do similar to Sultan, again, it wouldn't create records like Aamir has done because Sallu can't act anywhere near as good as Aamir thus the film won't be appreciated.

They all have different strength.
Salman with weak script can pull a victory thanks to his stardom.
Aamir's script sense is smart and he is marketing genius. But he can't pull off movie with weak script.
SRK is versatile but not consistent actor. When he hits big, it is out of ballpark.

How can we measure them as same?

We need Salman because he is consistent actor who gives 100 crore + business every year. Shahrukh because he makes movie business look exciting with his different projects. Otherwise everything will become stagnant. Aamir because he gives new goals. What works for Aamir is he is exclusive. But one movie in 2 year is not enough success for Bollywood's survival. It requires consistent success. If Aamir gives back to back success every year then the race will be equal.

People talk about high/low phases and consistency

But Salman is the only one who since this 100 crore thing started has never had a film under 100 crore. 👏👏

Even Aamir had Talaash. SRK had Fan. Ajay/Akshay had many films
