3 Idiots turned lot of reluctant matured audience back to theatre, to watch at least one movie a year. That is Amir's.

Honestly, I am surprised at the success of Dangal to this extent (though I knew, it will be a hit). A Bollywood movie with no romance can be a block buster; Only Amir could make it happen.

Obviously, it is not the collection we speak in Amir's movie, but quality. Though PK might be more commercially successful than these two films, these movies connected straight with the audience. (For the people who brag about collection all the time; Film is not all about collection, it is about connection).

When I compare the two, I rate 3 Idiots more. Both are inspirational. But 3 Idiots had more entertaining value (Hence repeat value).

Hanikarak Bapu song could have been more entertaining. If lyrics were even lighter, music was more peppy and if the scenes had children making cute faces/naughty things behind their father, it would have been the favourite (hummable) song of the kids.

But when it comes to songs;whether 3 Idiots, PK or Dangal, none of them have repeat value.

Dangal is good. But 3 IDIOTS is exceptional!

3I, Lagaan and RDB are top 3 movies of Aamir..

It has to be 3I because it's more colourful, catchy songs and more BWish.

But personally I wouldn't watch any of them for 2nd time.

1. 3 idiots
2. PK
3. Dangal

All great movies. Aamir is the best thing in bollywood right now.

Dangal girls situation was very different from Madhavan's situation in 3 idiots.
In Dangal, the girls were going to end like that sad little girl who was crying in her marriage. It was either that or wrestling.

3I is my all time favouritest movie😆..Never watched a movie sooo many times..high on entertainment and repeat value

Loved Dangal too specially its probably Aamir's best act..But with 3I its more dil ka connection

Btw I prefer Dangal songs..Title track is amazing

3 Idiots is our all-time favorite movie, must have watched it 20+ times by now.

3 Idiots has "Nirmal anand" in the words of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's Khubsoorat.

Everytime we watch it, we get high dose of entertainment and find emotional connect.

Its got high repeat value...never gets old or boring.

I think because it brings back memories of our school/college life, group of friends, pranks on teachers, exam tension, career decisions etc. There is a lot to connect to...

Dangal is an excellent movie but does it have that extent of repeat value? Dont know that yet but I doubt it.

Even PK has repeat value and so has Lagaan.

And I agree...its not abt Collection, its abt Connection!
