I am just glad Ms. Biased Critic didn't put ADHM on there.

Ms Biased critic didn't love ADHM or neither did a review of same for you to form a opinion of her as a biased critic. She stated she liked ADHM, didn't hail it as best

It's almost the end of 2016 and I still question myself - Did I watch a different film? I really don't find Kapoor and Sons to be a fine film and don't get why it gets so much of appreciation. I agree with what Anupama says about it being character driven and all but there's just nothing so special in the film for it to be hailed as one of the best films of 2016 (except the sensitive handling of Fawad's character).

Also, I don't get why industry folks are so lenient on films produced by Phantom. I loved Udta Punjab but the plagiarism charges over the whole story of the film does make it less original to be hailed as one of the best films. Same thing happened with NH10 as well (I love that film as well) but everyone forgot about the charges after a while.

I think Anupama was bang on about the number one films (yet to watch Dangal). I think both Pink and Neerja were the most honest films to have been made this year in Bollywood. The treatment though was different (Pink was loud, Neerja was subtle), I think both the films served its purpose along with critical acclaim and commercial gain. I would specifically mention Neerja and the talent behind the film for holding the audience's interest for such a long time inside an aeroplane. I'm going to be so sad if it doesn't win for it's tight screenplay, editing and direction.

The beginning of the worst film video was hilarious. Especially that woman asking who should f**k the husband first and who should f**k the wife 🤣.

Also, Anupama is one of the best reviewers we have in Bollywood at the moment. Not once do I find her to be snobbish and her fondness/dislike for a film always sounds genuine.

I would rather replace Udta Punjab and Kapoor and Sons with Phobia and Waiting.

ETA: I should also slap myself by now for not having watched Aligarh yet.

Yet to watch Dangal but Neerja is a fabulous film..Its weird that movie gets dissed cos Ram Madhvani did such a fantastic job with the film..Its tough when your handling biopics especially tragic ones cos you can get carried away and make it sappy and overtly melodramatic..But he got it just right and kept a lot of sequences subtle and real..If anything, the movie is not getting all the appreciation it deserves right now..

Totally agree! Neerja never fails to make me emotional, no matter how many times I watch it.
I think there are quite a few people who aren't giving it the credit it deserves because Sonam is in it, and that's really sad IMO.

Was Mohenjo Daro that bad? 😲...Haven't seen it yet..maybe I should watch it, I'm always in the mood for some unintentional comedy.

Agreed with the tie of Pink/Neerja for best films of the year. So nice to see women-centric films walking away with all the praise.
