MSD and Sarabjit are India's official entry to Oscars.How on earth a weak film like Sarabjit gets selected for Oscars?Bahurani was complete misfit for the role.Wasn't that enough?Do they want to torture the Oscars jury to get tortured by bahurani's cringe-worthy acting.

Producers of both the films sent it for Oscars and must have lobbied for same .Hence got shortlisted among 345 films

Nothing to do with quality per sa...

Haven't seen Sarabjit. But MSD is one cringeworthy film after a point with some horrible direction at display. So yeah, this indeed is a joke. 😆

India's official entry to Oscar is Tamil movie Visaranai.

Sarabjit and MS Dhoni were selected diffeently in long list

It is a long list. short list hona baki hai.Top 5 main jayega to alag baat haat hai.

There are 336 films eligible for the Best Picture. These are the rules-

To have been eligible for the 2016 Academy Awards, feature films must have played in a commercial theater in Los Angeles County between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31 for at least seven consecutive days. The pics, which have to be exhibited theatrically on 35mm or 70mm film, or in a qualifying digital format, must have a running time of more than 40 minutes.

It has nothing to do with the movie quality, you just have to lobby and screen the movie in a LA theatre. There are a lot of bullshit movies in the list like Bad Santa 2 and Monkey King 2- no one on the jury is going to watch those movies, don't worry 😃

Neither films deserve to be at Oscars. Aishwarya wasn't bad in Sarbjit. Talk about exaggeration. In fact, she was quite good. This and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, what a range she showed this year.

Besides, I do not understand this obsession with the Oscars. They have awarded a LOT of undeserving movies. Slumdog for instance. And they have rejected some really good Indian movies. So why should we seek validation from them?
