Most of the Pakistanis are decedents of Arabs and we can choose to keep whatever name we want just like most Hindus, Sikhs and Christians are free use name of people who have also committed murders and atrocities. In that sense people muslims should also rile up against names like Williams or Richard just because these people carried out the crusades.

Or how about protesting against the britishers who ruled and divided your land? I don't see people saying anything about them, in fact there is a reverence for the white people.

I know why they have named him Taimur.

Timur's son was Shahrukh (Mirza).

Saifeena are telling us that their son is (Shahrukh's), superstar's Baap.

He will rule the BW.

Well yes, it comes across as hurting the sentiments. Its as simple as someone named Brutus or Judas or Ravan or Duryodhan or Hitler. Since Timur, historically known as Tamerlane, was a Turco-Mongol conqueror and the founder of the Timurid Empire in Persia and Central Asia. He was the great-great-great-grandfather of Babur, founder of the Mughal Empire. Hence the animosity is natural.

Saif should have avoided this. Guess he didnt envisage the impact. To the baby, hey welcome to this world. Wishing you the best.
