Ranveer's dig at Sonam:Should get Best Actor award for wearing uniform

There's no love lost between former friends Sonam Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. Things have never been the same for the two after they famously bonded in an earlier season of Koffee With Karan. Since then, Sonam has repeatedly taken jibes at DP, from her fashion sense to her Hollywood debut. Now, Deepika's boyfriend Ranveer Singh has taken a dig at Sonam.

Ranveer's jibe came on the most recent episode of Koffee With Karan, where he shared the couch with Ranbir Kapoor. The Befikre actor impersonated Sonam and made a case for why she should win the best actor for Neerja over Alia in Udta Punjab.

"I was really claustrophobic in that plane, they should give it to me just for that suffering. I mean, I was wearing ONE uniform in that whole film," Ranveer mimicked, taking a dig at Sonam's fashionista ways.

Sonam Kapoor, who played Ashok Chakra awardee Neerja Bhanot in the film has been praised for her acting skills in the film. With many bets on her to bag the Best Actress awards this year, she may not be too pleased with Ranveer's comments.

Incidentally, Ranveer is also Sonam's second cousin, but the two have never been particularly close.
