2014. I saw you first in the trailers of the film Khoobsurat, and I was like, who is this guy. I didn't watch the film and when the film didn't work, I thought he would disappear. In fact, in one of the threads here, I predicted he will disappear. Of course he was handsome but good looking hunks are dime a dozen in Bollywood, so I didn't even give him a second chance before dismissing him.

Late 2015. Fawad was long forgotten. There were no good films interesting me and I was looking for something to watch. I finished Suits and was looking for something more desi this time, which is when a friend of mine suggested I watch this Pakistani drama called Zindagi Gulzar Hai. I was quite wary, because I thought Pakistani films are so tacky, TV must be even worse. But she insisted I give it a try, and reluctantly, I sat down to watch the first episode of ZGH. It started out a little slow, and I was sure I was not going to finish more than two episodes.

Two days later, I completed the whole show. Yes, I bunked even a day's class and binged watched it till the end. It was crazy two days. And it was during these two days I fell in love with this man, so much that I was ready to relocate to Pakistan, just in the hope of, I don't know, just being closer to him, I suppose.

In less than two months, a new film of his was coming out. Kapoor and Sons. I was waiting for the release. Watched it first day first show. I loved the film SO much and I fell in love with Fawad and his portryal all over again. It's like, if I had not watched ZGH, I would have watched Kapoor and Sons anyway and end up loving him. Falling in love with him was inevitable either ways. I took my family and friends to make them watch the movie too. I had never seen such a wonderful portrayal of a homosexual character in mainstream Indian cinema. For the first time, a gay character was not reduced to be a caricature. And it was being done by someone who is the epitome of male beauty, at the beginning of his career. This could have been fatal to his career as a leading "hero", but his ability to take such risks made me like and respect him even more.

So completely smitten by him, I watched another drama of his - Humsafar. Now his character was not extremely likeable here. In fact you hate the character after a point. But he portrays it so endearingly that you want to forgive him. He owns yet another role with his good looks and charm, his brevity and intensity. Needless to say, I am smitten.

Up next was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. I cant say I was disappointed with so little of him, because it was billed as a cameo. I watched the film 4 times. And when I was watching it the 4th time, I was sad, because that was probably the last time I was going to see him on the big screen for a while. All said and done, he was unfairly targeted and made a punching bag for something he never did.

Here is hoping we get to see more of him real soon. How about another kickass drama? Whatever it is, comeback soon real quick. None of the leading men we have can hold a candle to you be it in acting or good looks or charm.

Happy birthday Fawad Khan. We love you and we miss you.

Wow Fawad is a Saggie too no wonder I love him 😳
Your story is very similar to mine, never cared who is Fawad but after my bro suggested ZGH there was no looking back. Zaroon is pure love <3.
When K & S released I could not stop drooling on Fawad and kept saying OMG how can someone be so good looking all throughout the movie 😳
ADHM was a disappointment since he hardly any screen time and I was mainly there to watch him. But even in that 5mins role he looked so hawt and impressive.

I am as well sad we cannot see him in some good BW movies which would utilize his full potential.

Happy Birthday Fawad <3

I too have a similar story 😆
My sister was watching ZGH out of boredom and I mocked her saying, "same old clg drama of bratty boy n akdu ladki"
First time saw him on Saas Bahu aur Saazish, he was spl guest and was wishing Eid and again I was like, "uff whats the craziness about this guy, everyone is singing his praises"
Just to get to know the hype regarding him, I started watching ZGH and then no turning back 😆
With each passing project, turned into his mad fan ❤️
