Shekhar didn't drink, in fact he clearly says he doesn't drink. It was an unfortunate accident where he lost control because he saw a little girl suddenly come in front of him & as a result Amar got hit instead and died on the spot.

Shekhar's character is really beautiful! One of the best love stories ever IMO.

Second one is quite an insult to the original

well i won't say second one a insult...i will say plain stupidity...AS is out of his mind to remake Tum Bin 1 and just change the climax to an illogical one...what works 15 yrs back will not work now even if he would have cast the same cast after 15 yrs...

times has changed...mindset has been changed...

he should have written a new story for Tum Bin 2...not remake it...

the only thing i like abt TB 2 is the songs and aditya as shekhar...

I completely agree...a new story would have been perfect...what worked 15 yrs back...will not work now even if the same cast is being casted again...times has changed...mindset has been changed...

a whole new story and basic elements of Tum Bin 1 would have been perfect...basic elements means love being expressed through the eyes rather than being physical to show love...
