Think about it, I remember being 8 watching this movie when it came out , and loving it. I abs love the songs. Now, flashback 15 years later, I think it's twisted and dark. I mean this guy meet another guy, get drunk, crashes into him, trying not to hit a child. He leaves the guy to die then goes to his house to "redeem himself",it's twisted. Later, he feels guilty, say what? What do you think?

then even more twisted and dark is dil ka rishta.
where arjun rampal character(reminds one of salman khan in real life) ends up killing two people including aishwarya's husband(tum bin's priyanshu plays the role in a role reversal) during drunken driving.
While the first part had arjun chasing aish as obsessive lover, post accident its aish who loves him unaware of earlier events due to amnesia.
He doesn't reciprocate due to guilt but finally when truth is out everything is apologized and forgotten.

Shekar in the movie does not drink!! He was far from drunk when his car hits him! He only drinks right in the end after which he ends up getting hit by a car!

yes tum bin 2 has the same story...

the guy too did a skii accident with the leading lady first love...he came into the house due to his guilt...take her out from the grief...he falls in love with her...twist the first love came into the leading lady life...she is torn b/w two men...Mr Guilt Ridden sacrifice his love and leaves the girl to her first love claiming she loves her first love...while he leaves loving her all his life...the twist in the story...the girl loves both men with equal depth...in the end she unites with her first love but still love both men

it was a remake of tum bin 1 actually with a stupid climax and ending...

shekhar in tum bin 1 did not drink and drive...he wanted to save a child who came infront of his car...to save another life...he accidentally took away another life whom is amar...

shekhar was drunk in the end...to heal his pain...to forget piya...but even after getting drunk...he could not forget piya...he was drunk and the accident happen to him

oh yes...i completely forget abt this film...dil ka rishta...i love the songs...it had some beautiful songs and ash looks super gorgeous in the film so was arjun very dashing and handsome...

the film did not work in the BO...but i liked the film...thanks to the songs...

this one was another tum bin revisit...😆

it was a hit 15 yrs back...i don't think if such story is told now...in the year of 2016...it will work...

tum bin 2 is one such example...its the same story with a slight change in the climax and ending...it did not work...it became a mess...

those days...love stories were in big demand...good music blends with love story...its a big hit...of course with a good narrative...especially love triangles were in demand...

we have a lagaan...gadar...alongside a simple love story tum bin...a good era for romance

now the films are more on content driven...biopics...reality...sports...action genres...love stories are fading away...none of the love stories works this era...i am kind of shock...romance is gone from BW...even the romance king SRK is no more doing romance...whom is known as God Of Romance...salman has stop doing romance ages back so does aamir...noone is doing romance nowadays...

those who does romance...the story is more on one night stands...sleazy sex...true love...simple love is not in the dictionary...

no ways we can find a Saajan...DDLJ...Tum Bin...Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak...Ishq...Pyar To Hona Hi Tha...Hum Aapke Hain Koun...Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam...Veer Zaara...Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega...Chori Chori Chupke Chupke...Raja Hindustani...Dhadkan or even a Dil Ka Rishta in this era...where love is felt through the eyes and sinks into the soul...the sacrifices made in love...if this films stories are made now...it will flop badly...on Aashiqui 2 is exceptional thanks to its great music
