It is okay to be an introvert but not okay to pretend what you are not. The only good thing about his interviews is he treats all his films with equal respect, even if they were flops, read DBB.

He needs to firstly tone down that weird accent for starters. His Hindi interviews are much more bearable, tbh. 😆 But then, I kinda stopped caring about actors' off screen persona. All of them are weird as eff. I really used to like Ranveer off screen but after his overt PDA, I have restricted myself to liking him as an actor only.

Yeah but my issue is mainly that he wasn't like that till a very recent time. I don't know if co-actors bitching about him *insert Anupama mentioning pseudo-intellectual talks* has gotten to him and he somehow tries to be "above" them in a sense of the word. Actually, he was a lot like Harshvardhan minus the arrogance. Now, he seems to trail on similar ground, and I absolutely cringe when actors start thinking too high of themselves. Unless you're SRK and know how to pull it off. 😆

SSR used to be extremely introvert/quiet yes, but it didn't bother me; mostly because when he actually spoke, he came off as an extremely intelligent and well-thought of person. He reads a lot, watches a lot of different cinema clearly and quoted a lot of influential people and I found it extremely endearing. A refreshing change from the likes of all those star kids that know nothing much except commercial Bollywood crap and probably their private jets and gyms. Baring Ranbir. Him and SSR were two young actors (males) whose interviews I looked forward to.

Hahahaha, I understand the 'weird' part. I think success gets to them. Very few actors, if any in BW, can keep both separate. It's actually easier to stop caring. And unlike watching celebrities in the West, there's a lot more curtaining of real personalities as well which is off-putting. I was just watching a re-telecast of one of the Late Late shows yesterday night with Craig F. and Kunal Nayyar and I realized how unabashed these people are about their personalities off screen. It makes you want to root for them a lot more, both on and off screen. I liked Ranveer a lot a year ago, he seemed to have calmed down quite a bit and was still funny (I remember the DDD interviews!), and I like his honesty about his personality, but nowadays even he seems to have climbed the stairs of success a bit too swiftly ego-wise.
