Man Shahrukh is hilarious.. The best part is that he can make fun of himself and is completely unabashed of his persona and what can be termed as arrogance by some... Loved it

I couldn't stop laughing during the third and fourth part especially! What an interview! One of my favorite part was Anupama asking him about the FF skit where him and Ranbir cross-dressed! And him going..Ranbir is to be blamed for that, I'm an outsider! 😆😆 The sound quality I have to say was a bit poor but loved the interview.

I absolutely love the moment he describes shooting a scene, getting an expression right and having no one to share it with in Part 2.

Makes you realize that you can be loved by millions of people worldwide, and still live such a lonely life, at least professionally speaking. It made me cringe because I'd hate to wake up and go to work and have no one to share my excitement with at something I just achieved because it would feel too mundane to everyone else. It's honestly sad.

He's still such a delightfully charming man, even after all these years, no wonder Anupama is fangirling. As much as he's cocky, there's no one better with words than this guy undoubtedly.

Edit: Also, can I just add I never realized SRK, Aamir, Salman actually spend time and we hardly get to know about those late night visits? People (esp. on IF 😆) go crying and pitting these stars against each other, but they genuinely seem to try bond. Perhaps obligatorily, given their positions, but it still seems surprisingly real.

I think the thing with Shahrukh's cockiness is that he states it himself that a lot of it is just false bravado. He states even in this interview that he has a lot of insecurities , a lot of complexes. People can of course term it as him being arrogant but I think most of the people who have worked with him have always stated that he is very humble.

The sound quality was quite poor...really difficult to hear him properly in bits...strange that Anupama and her team didn't test the audio quality for SRK's mike...her voice sounded all clear while his was low :S

Still, a great watch...I loved the portion where he talked about the excitement of getting a portion right, a split second of expression and only being able to share it with the immediate team on set...no one else would be able to get it.

Watching him talk about Fan was a great bit too...especially when he mentioned the scene in the film when Aryan plays Gaurav playing him...the meta level off the charts in that scene...one of my favs...so fascinating to see an actor's thoughts as they approach a scene as epic as that. Felt sad again that the audience couldn't appreciate an evolved film like this with the performance of a lifetime from him...the failure seems to have hit him hard too.

But I loved what he said about heartbreak and failure making you stronger..."Isse bura aur kya ho sakta hai"😆...he's always had a way with words :)

Other interesting bits...when he talked about the lack of tehzeeb, dignity and self-respect in people in general nowadays...abundantly visible on social media and this forum as well I'd say😆

Also amusing was the bit where he talks about his inability to understand this "K...LOL" culture of acronyms and emoji filled conversations that people have...lol...that he'd rather make people 'LOL' on an in-person one on one interaction level.

Thanks for posting! This was a good interview. Anupama always giggles. I have yet to see an interview of hers without her giggling and she giggles more when she actually likes the person she's interviewing..though she got much better as the interview went on. SRK's mike wasn't as good but with headphones I was able to get most of what he said. Lisbon (?) seems like such a small area! Such small streets/staircases. 😆

My favorite bits where when he talks about the excitement of getting that one expression right, but the sadness of not really having anyone to share it with as no one really gets it and it's over so fast...acting really can be such a lonely job..

I also liked the bits about the graduation speech and how he was telling the kids that they shouldn't worry if they fail...ab toh hogaya, usse bura kuch ho nahi sakta, move on and try again...only way to stop failure is to work hard and only way to be successful is to work hard..and that if you're scared enough of failure it won't happen again. That really is true and good advice...some words to live by.

I think it is obvious Fan was an extremely special movie for him and the failure has hit him pretty hard, even though I do believe that he wasn't really surprised by Fan's failure. He's not disillusioned by it but it obviously hurts if you put your all in a role after years and it ends up under-appreciated/ forgotten..such a mix of immense pride and heartbreak. One of my fav scenes in the movie was Aryan acting as Gaurav acting as Aryan and I'm glad SRK mentioned that scene as a fav..the one Anupama showed was also good, but the movie has many more gems..

..lol "I'll come back leading the pack" ...lol. Despite statements like these, he seems underconfident in his current actions but hopefully he can find that confidence to come back.

and LOL @ feeling like he'll end up talking till eternity to the person from the party because he doesn't know how to end the text 🤣
