When Karan Johar felt Aishwarya Rai was the ONLY star on the sets of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Karan Johar was so mesmerised by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan that he felt that she was the only star present on the sets of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil as he almost forgot about Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan working with Karan Johar in his pet project Ae Dil Hai Mushkil was like a dream come true for the director. He always wanted to work with the actress but nothing could be worked out initially. So when Karan offered her a role in this upcoming movie, the actress was more than willing to bag it. Ash is known for having an aura around her and she did mesmerise everyone on the sets making someone like Ranbir go weak in his knees. In an interview with a leading daily RK Jr, has metioned that on their first day together he was nervous to go and approach the actress. The first time she walked on the set, he asked Karan, "What should I do? Should I go and say hello to her?"

Karan too didn't differ on this with the star. The director is anyways floored by Ash and her grace. So when she was entering the sets on day one, Karan felt like she is the only star in the film. He was quoted saying, "There was so much build-up about Ash coming on set. To me, it felt like she is the only star in the film. I am not undermining my love for Ranbir and Anushka (Sharma), but when Aishwarya walked in, I was like OMG... one star has finally come on the set."
