Anu's role is good but it could be done by other actresses, but Ash's role is unique. He is not demeaning Anu.

Yass. The only other girls around that age are Kajol (who Karan has fallen out with), Karisma (who is Ranbir's cousin so a big no no), Rani (who was heavily pregnant at the time of shooting, Preity (I don't think she would suit the role at all).

Since when is not being able to do a movie due to date or other constraints equivalent to being replaced?? Heck most of the movies mentioned above were rejected by her fir some reason or another.

The only movie she was officially replaced in was Chalte Chalte and we all know the reason behind it so lets not over-reach with this one.

This is Indian commercial cinema where the movies are made with leads not with supporting cast...and about Anu I said irreplaceable for KJO and I'm not talking about anybody else..If a person is present in most of the frames of a movie then obviously the director gives higher priority to that character and her journey...Ash is a senior actress and KJO is massaging her ego by giving such statement of how her supporting role is equally important if not more than the lead herione. Simple

I dont think this was said to offend Anushka or praise Ash.This is just a fact.

Ash was also replaced in several films when she was younger because there were other young talented actresses as well.Same case with Anushka.She is talented no doubt but there are other talented actresses of the same age as well.

But if a role requires an older actress who can carry of a seductive role elegantly and have a crackling chemistry with a younger co star.Then i dont think there are a lot of choices.

There are Thousands who can do it and do it better than Ash.

It is acting for a reason.

How do we know if Raveena couldn't have done it or Urmila for that matter?

The reason HW has Tests and Auditions for even the biggest stars is because of this.

karan cannot seem to run out of chances to put anushka down.

hr should have made the movie without her and taken some aathiya or sonakshi in her plcae and we would ave seen how great the movie would have turned out.

Look, let's face it Anushka is a good, capable actress and she certainly doesn't ruin films (hello Katrina) but she doesn't exactly blow anyone out of the water either. She's solid but frankly that's all she is.

Aishwarya isn't the greatest actress but she is captivating onscreen. And with her chemistry with RK, it's pretty clear she's the perfect fit for this role.

But really, Anushka should stop trying to cozy up to Karan. It's clear he still thinks she's mediocre and always will.
