Lol! Ironical that AD is releasing his movie there and not Kjo. IF true then must have cost AD a lot of self respect as some people who are non Pakistanis and don't live there gave the information that AD is being abused by the public and media in Pakistan. I think for now he must show solidarity with our army and not release his film there and become a party to terrorism directly or indirectly. At times like how can anyone think of profits?

BTW just to make it clear Pakistani government has NOT banned Indian movies. Ban was for TV shows. The movie ban was by an association of exhibitiors and like the COEAI ban in India not binding on anyone.

@Bold - Reasons in nutshell (many more but restricted it to "for Dummies version")

The trade to Pakistan is miniscule with respect to its total global trade.
India is a member of WTO ...and unilateral stand can be damaging, if one considers the regional/global impact of this decision on Indian trade
India is a signatory to GATT hence is bound to treat all its trading partners equally
India can ban using the Uri incident under the national security exception, but the technicalities are a detriment.

While India has been magnanimous to grant Pak the MFN status a decade back, it wasn't reciprocated by Pak (whose cause you are advocating)

...GOI is reviewing MFN status to Pak but guess its low priority because the trade is too low and doesn't want to upset the global trade applecart for a nuisance.

This however is not impending on Individuals...for instance, the Gujarat farmers and traders have boycotted the export to Pakistan... costing them 800 Cr annually ...every Individual and Companies should do it on their own to show support...instead of shifting the blame on the govt which obviously is constrained by its global outlook to the issue.

P.S - Btw, no international body would give a F if you ban a artist or dont release a film...So compare issues based on their relevance...there more to life & governance besides film.😆
