Will 2016, 2017 prove costly for Ranveer?

Last year end, he was beaming with the success of BM. Now after one year of hard work, we saw snapshot of the result.

He is investing one more year (he can't act with beard in other movies) for PV on a character which no one would empathise for. At least, if he had picked up Ratan Singh, it had a meatier role. (Khilji is not an anti hero. He is a villain).

Will these two mistakes be too costly for Ranveer? Another costly mistake according to me is, his decision of doing just one film a year at this point of career. There are no back up films, if one flops in the year.
