You need a Star image to worry that, what was Srk before Bazigar/Darr that he would have worried about his image?

Arey image ki nahi type casting ki fikar ki baat kar rahi hoon😆 He could have been type casted as a negative guy /villain na... Who would think k a guy who throws women off buildings and slaps them around would go onto become a hero?😆 How often does that happen?

As for Shahrukh and YRF, it was symbiotic.. Shahrukh did a film that no one else was willing to do and made the character iconic.. He then did a film which not many people believed in and the film went onto become iconic, so no favors has been done on either side

darr was being directed by yash chora who was a blockbuster director back then. not many new struggling actors would say no to that. then ddlj also had yash chopra's vision behind it. after darr's super success, it would have been hard for srk to reject if yash chopra came wo him with a film . its a logical decision not risky

The same blockbuster diretctor was rejected by a number of heroes before the role was eventually picked up by Shahrukh who managed to outshine Sunny who was quite a big star at that point of time.. Shahrukh had signed five movies the day he arrived in Mumbai so not that much of a struggling actor he was..
DDLJ mein Shahrukh was not the first choice

sorry to quote, but are you implying SRK's success was luck by chance, all fluke?

Would it be wrong to say that SRK truely arrived with DDLJ? Just like how Ranveer arrived with BM.

SRK and YRF both benefited from association. SRK gave some of his best movies with YRF . Or they offered their best movies to SRK!!
Once Akki said in interview that big banners like YRF never offered him good movies .

And SRK has had Blockbusters and superhits/ hits with other PHs too, not just YRF, and Dharma.

Which?

His specialty is he works with newbie directors and makes them famous! 😉

Rahul Rawail, Ketan Mehta all newbie directors then delivered Disasters after working with him 😆
